Seriously? Your original post put an emphasis on speed and....oh **** it. You will fit in just fine with the rest of the backpedaling argument changers. Carry on.

Yeah, still not seeing what's controversial about saying the Bears shouldn't shell out multi-year deals to slowing, aging cornerbacks. And where's the backpedaling?

Are you saying the Bears shouldn't worry about his declining speed because he's never been the fastest guy on the field? If so, that makes no sense---you still need your CBs to stay with the guys they're covering. If they're getting beat constantly, that's a problem. That's where I think Tillman is heading soon.

This is correct, and as much as I and everybody else loves Peanut, his durability is a major question. Last year he missed half the season, and the year before is deceiving. He played in all 16 games, and his performance was extraordinary. But he did all that in Waddle type fashion. He had a variety of injuries two years ago, and had to leave the game quite often and in most games. Then he was back out there again, and back and forth.

I pray that he plays most of this season in my heart, but do understand that is very doubtful.

What? Are you talking about 2011, when he played all 16 games and made his first PB? Or 2012 when he had one of the best season of his career and made the 2nd PB? The whole "Tillman is injury prone" is blown way out of proportion. Last year was the first time he's missed significant time since his second season.

I said that he played all 16 games, and he played phenomenal. We all know that. And you should also know that he was on and off hurt all that year, with different injuries starting at the very beginning of the year.

Chicago Bears cornerback Charles Tillman left the field favoring his right leg in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Tillman returned to the field on the second defensive series before sitting the rest of the half. The Bears announced at the start of the second half that he would not return.

Tillman had 99 tackles and three interceptions (two returned for touchdowns) in 2011 to earn his first Pro Bowl berth.

UPDATE: Coach Lovie Smith confirmed that Tillman suffered a leg injury, adding "hopefully it's not too serious," according to Bears Radio Network sideline reporter Zach Zaidman.

I am not going to search the internet to prove week by week. Tillman was in and out of games throughout the entire 2012 season. In many weeks his status was questionable or doubtful for the following week, but he kept chugging along and played every single week.

I don't know what you want to argue about here. I did a simple search and found this to start the season. Believe me, it went on all year. And yes, he played every game and played fantastic, and he is one of my favorites. But I am just telling the truth.

You can also see there that he made the PB the year before.

It just doesn't make much sense to worry about a guy's playing time due to injury and use a season in which he played the vast majority of the games with injuries that obviously weren't significant enough to sideline him for any real amount of time.

Great, I hope that you are right.
