Ton of available QBs that are FAs, however...

Free speech

The bans and canceling is sickening.....and it's happening daily. Good luck with a society like that; oh hey there is one still like that; its called China.
I think social media "censorship" is a discussion worth having, but dear Lord my man, if you're referring to the events of January 6th - that ain't it.

They are talking about Watson going to the Bears on First Take now. Max is for it and Stephen A. is against it.
Stephen A was also bringing up the tired old trope of Chicago needing to be a run first/defensive team because it gets cold. As if there's never snow in Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Seattle, or New England.

Nagy is in a “prove it” season and you think he’s going to start Foles?

Nagy has two more years on his contract and has made the playoffs twice in three attempts. I don't think the seat is as hot as most think it should be. That said, let's say that it is a "prove it season"...who else are you going with???

A rookie drafted by the same man that thought Trubisky was the best quarterback of the 2017 NFL Draft?!?

Don't think just getting to the playoffs really impresses anyone anymore. You actually have to win in the playoffs. The 2018 Bears were led by a great ball hawking defense. Still they lost the WC game to the lowest seeded team. 2 mediocre 8-8 seasons followed with the Bears getting into the playoffs this season with the addition of a third WC team. They were easily beaten in their only playoff game. Seen more regression in Nagy's tenure than anything positive.

0-16 should do it. All of the fans will kill themselves from the pain of watching FUCKING FOLES AND HIS SHIT QB PLAY.
Bears usually go the way their defense takes them. If you plan on going with Foles for even just the start of the season I think better line play will help his immobile ass a lot and the defense rising back up to dominance can carry the Bears while they use Foles as a bridge/tutor for a young QB they draft.

To me...he didn’t “prove it” this season. He didn’t get his team into the playoffs essentially he was given the spot by the NFL and a lose by another team. He gets zero credit to me for that. He does get the blame for the loss and the 6 game losing streak.

Wait...you don’t think Nagy’s on a legit hot seat?

The end of the year presser was horrible, however, you at least can say Pace and Nagy only have 1 more year to get this team turned around. That was evident.

A new Oline will not help his inaccurate noodle arm. He is a bad starting QB plus he’ll never finish the season healthy anyway.

Fine with him tutoring a young QB, as long at is from the sidelines.

The more I think of it I think the best option is to roll with Foles and pick a QB in the 1st or 2nd round. Let Trubisky move on so he can get another shot somewhere else. If anything we could see if he turns out like another Mahomes with a different coaching staff.
For “all intensive porpoises” Trubisky is gone. He has no contract with the Bears for 2021.

A good o line might help him, but not to the point he should be our starting quarterback

Not free agents but Tyrod Taylor, Jamis Winston, or Sam Darnold in my opinion would be better options and possibly cheap trades.

Wouldn't be looking for him to finish but just hold down the fort til the rook is ready. We've seen what Foles can do behind a good o-line with a good running game in Philly. He got them their only SB win in that team's history. He's a SB MVP, FFS.

That was 3 years ago!

So Foles needs a good oline, good run game, good defense and some luck to be good?? (The 2017 Eagles)

Mitch would be serviceable with that structure. Like pretty much any QB in the league...FFS! At least Mitch is mobile, younger, and has a stronger arm.

I
Why do people bother throwing names out like this? Are you not familiar with their history?
I am, Taylor was nice last year. Winston was in an aggressive system. And Darnold has absolutely no help. More than anything, I watch the games instead of just looking up stats and highlights. From what I see, my opinion is these 3 guys would work for me.

Because we have everything the teams they were on had and more?
Winston is a turnover machine
Taylor(played in 1 game last year) is a bridge at best and that bridge is crumbling
Darnold .....his first pass in the nfl was a pick six and he never got any better.
