That might have been the worst team to ever win a WS.

I've often thought that. The other really bad World Series teams were the losers like the '44 Browns and the '74 Mets for example.

Managers in baseball get way too much blame and way too much credit

Totally agree, But the Sox just need a change, different direction, something. Ive been behind Ozzie all year but at this point i dont care whos gone who stays as long as something happens, the Sox have continuously underachieved under the Williams/ Guillen regime.

Look at the careers he's r
evamped, and the pitchers he's worked with.
Duncan > Coop

I dont think youll see any difference between the two, to be honest. Coop has also revamped many careers. But, due to the fact that Duncans been doing it consistantly for as long as he has i could see the argument of Duncan > Cooper

No, you asked how my statement "even made sense". I explained it to you. You can disagree, but what I said was understandable to a child. You may want to figure out how to comprehend what you read. Ozzie not being a "big name" manager doesn't make sense to you...LOL. I guess thats because Ozzie's name is always linked to those high-profile managerial positions, like the Florida Marlins.

Ozzie is always in the Chicago news, but the only time he is on the national scene is when he says/does something Special person. With the Sox so miserable this year, he hasn't even been a blip on the radar (unless he's rumored to be taking over the terrible Marlins, which is the baseball equivalent of Kevin Kolb being acquired by the Arizona Cardinals).

Bold 3 - are you serious? I was specifically refering to a post different than yours. I can't help it if you have rabbit ears. If, as a member of Staff, thats what you are going to complain about, so be it.

Again, I never once said he is a big name manager.

You may have reasons as do I that he is NOT a big name manager, but to say he isnt a big name because he isnt well respected makes no sense.

At the surface one who believe Duncan is > Cooper, and this could be true. But to actually 100% say which one is better would need a lot of research done to see how many pitchers pitched better under one of them, how many became worse under them, and than the variables of a pitcher being bad or good regardless of the pitching coach. Im to lazy to do this, and it is almost pointless. They are close, but I have no idea what to really think.

I lived in St. Louis for 9 years. LaRussa has a lot of problems, but also has a lot of good things about him. He wants his players to listen to him and no other outside people. His coaching staff is the one in charge, not parents of the players or other people that might influence the player. This became obvious with Rasmus. I don't think he will be worse than Ozzie, though.

HUH?

How does it make no sense? By your logic, all people who aren't well-respected ARE big names. Guillen is not a big name manager. He is not well-respected. He might get some publicity for being an idiot, but that doesn't make him a big name manager. If Tom Izzo retired from Michigan State, would you expect MSU to make a run at a big name coach, then hire Bruce Pearl?

again, learn to read

i will go slower this time.

Being respected or NOT respected has nothing to do with being a big name.

1) you can be respected and be a big name

2) you can be NOT respected and still be a big name

This isnt about ozzie, this about your post stating that someone "cant be a big name" BECAUSE "they are not respected" That makes zero sense. and why I still reply, makes even less sense when you are clearly an idiot.

What's so funny bout Sandberg? I think right now the joke is on the Crumbs for taking Qualude over Sandberg...and he can do better then Ozzie without all the BS associated with the Great and Powerful Oz!

How can it NOT be about Ozzie? My post was in specific reference to Ozzie. If you are making some broad interpretation, then thats on you.

Since you can't seem to comprehend the English language, I've redone my post in telegram form.

Guillen is not a big name manager. Stop thought. He is not well-respected. Stop thought.

Better for you?

much better. thanks!

I wouldn't be a fan of LaRussa being a Sox manager again. He is a bloated, DUI-loving, fart who sticks up for his players WAAAAAY too much (kinda sounds like a certain manager we already have).

At least his kids aren't immature idiots. So it would be a tiny step in the right direction. Maybe.

I'm not worried about the manager's kids, especially LaRussa, who acts just as immature as Ozzie does.

How many DUIs does Ozzie have? I know that LaRussa is a member of that distinguished club.
