I think I read somewhere something about Olecz and Montador clearing waivers (again).

You have to wonder if Stan doesn't have the respect of other GMs yet. Can't be about not wanting to deal with conference because he just sent his center to Vancouver for jack shit also. Or simply no team wants to really help an already great team.



I know that sounds really dumb but a lot of GM's who have played the game at the NHL level deal better with other GM's who have also played. Its a boys club of sorts with some GM's. Stan doesn't have the swagger. But I once again quote Pez "god you are dumb sometimes".



But Im glad Jagr is not a Hawks also. Screw him he failed last year in the playoffs big time. He can;t raise his game to the next level anymore.

According to ScoreMobil they went on waivers. Also the Hawks traded Philipe Paradis for a college defenseman with zero points this year (Kirill Gotovets). Looks like a move to just get rid of a contract. Wonder if we were at 50...



I counted on CapGeek and, according to them, we were at 50 before shedding Paradis so this opens us up to add one contract.

Montador and Olesz already cleared waivers earlier this year... I'm pretty sure they don't have to clear them again, and they played for the IceHogs tonight. So it's not a matter of bringing them up.



But, maybe the Blackhawks put them on waivers again to give teams a chance to claim them... maybe those who felt "left out" of the trade deadline raid.

There's just too many teams that are still in it...and the asking prices are ridiculous I'm sure. Teams want Saad, Danault, TT...if the Hawks want anything of value and it's not worth it.



Throw in the cap going down as it is next year, plus there's going to be a lot of players out there once the compliance buyouts hit this summer. It's hard to trade young assets for a player that may/may not help for 12gms...and if you lose in the first round 7 more games.
