PMXCMSDOLKNFJNSD hit the nail on the head. With the shortened season there aren't as many points to separate the top from the bottom so it's giving a false sense of teams still in it. So they are all trying to be buyers instead of sellers. Bad teams really have a chance to clean up this deadline. If they are smart, but if they were... they wouldn't be bad... ::glares at calgary::



Seeing some of the prices thrown out there, I'm not sure much of a deal is going to get done. They aren't getting any of our high level prospects.

There's just too many teams that are still in it...and the asking prices are ridiculous I'm sure. Teams want Saad, Danault, TT...if the Hawks want anything of value and it's not worth it.



Throw in the cap going down as it is next year, plus there's going to be a lot of players out there once the compliance buyouts hit this summer. It's hard to trade young assets for a player that may/may not help for 12gms...and if you lose in the first round 7 more games.
