That isn't what I asked. The playoffs are essentially random, especially if the talent levels are close to equal which I believe them to be this year, so I asked who you thought it was that they could not beat? I don't see a team like that. It's going to be all about the hot hand and the matchups.

Sure, every team has a legit chance to beat anybody when the talent levels are so close. That doesn't mean there's a team they can't beat.

Not gonna lie... if another deadline passes without the cubs getting a controlable young starter I'm probably going to be a bit bent. I'll get over it I'm sure but god We've been talking about a young TOR guy since friggen Dempster was dealt and don't get me wrong Hendricks was great and Edwards looks like a dominant BP guy now but just would love if the team managed to throw us a bone already.

My guess is that if Schwarber hadn't been hurt you might have seen it this year. I think that guy you're looking for, and me too btw, is going to cost prospects plus one of Schwarber, Russell or Baez. I'm pretty sure that Soler has probably played his way out of being that kind of piece.

My mind saw who can beat the cubs not who can't beat the cubs..

Doesn't matter now...
5 mins away and it doesn't look like their making any other move..

The biggest move they made was bullpen help
Now we hope the offense can pull it together and get them leads.

Heyward, Soler, Russell , Montero
All need to figure it out and get it going consistently


I have to say I am a bit disappointed though
Really wanted a solid LH bat

I'd say the Rangers are doing a win now mode picking up Beltran and Lucroy.

Their saying Rays have made multiple deals, haven't mentioned with who or what yet..
So stand by..

I do think though that a move that will definately happen in off-season
Especially with Hammel gone and no significant FA

I'm by no means sure Hammel will be gone. That $10 million option could be attractive based on the price of pitching today.

Have to Wait another 4 mos..

Overall have to say this deadline was disappointing
Great to have Chapman, expected a little more for playoff run in october
