The Hawks will do something. Maybe even two somethings.

the roster isnt far off from being contenders. The coach is the issue.

Hard to say whether it's all coaching or if the players have "quit" and tuned out the coach...or if they have quit the whole organ-I-zation...(had enough of the McPimp regime). If they have quit the whole club not just the coach we are truly screwed permanently.

If they have quit only on the coach and we get a competent coach we could expect to see improvement. If they have quit out of disgust for the whole organ-I-zatiion, then that change will need to fester for years before we see that get a fix. 49 years?

Either way though if the players have "quit" on anyone that does not speak well for their character and pride as professionals.

I don't think they quit the organization, they are payed professionals. I think the system is not working for this group, along with injuries which I hate to put blame on cause with the talent that we have, not having toews on the ice should not matter, we paid handsomely for the rest of the core to carry this team, if a star is out. But I do think the system needs to be re-evaluated, what worked during the cup team is not working for this team or last, more then half of the team is gone. You have to place a system to bring out the best of the player not a system that a player must adapt too.

As far as the trade deadline, I would stand pat and not do anything drastic, Let this season ride the way it is, we were at first in the league just a few months ago with this same team, there is no reason why we can't compete once all are back. I do not want to break anyone away just because bandwagon fans are calling for heads, this orginaztion had a goal and accomplished it in 2010, were only 2 years removed from winning the cup. Wings were a mega power through the farm system and cap space, we're are following the same blue print. So I say stand pat, and wait till this summer to make moves where its not going to cost us valuable draft picks or players, and we should have enough cap to get what we need, while others are at the limit.

They will end up with nothing.....I will guarantee it! then Stan will say "What everyone was asking for was too much. I tried but from our stand point I think this team is capable in winning with the current roster, I have full faith in them."

I take it back about not getting anyone....Oduya might be in an Indian head in about two hours.

Is it because of the waiver signing of Clitsome that the Jets are willing to part with Oduya? I don't get what the hell Chevy is thinking. The Jets are in a division title race right now and they want to trade Oduya?

I expect Stan to be fleeced if this is the case.

I love Oduya, don't get me wrong. He's a great D-man. However, I know he'll come at a high price, especially considering the position the Jets are in right now.

Where's that coming from? I like this player, but his team is damn near in first place in their division.

Oduya sounds about right. A number 5 dman on a marginally talented team. Look for Q to give him #3 minutes.

TSN Toronto said that the reason the Jets might part with Oduya is because they realize that sure they are playing good but they aren't going all the way. And I think Oduya is a UFA after this, the guys said that why keep him then get nothing for him when this year aint their year but instead move him and get something for him
