Dustin Brown or Brendan Morrow. We need grit up front.

Count me in as someone who would love dust brown up front. Nice gritty hard working lw with some decent hands. He's also a very good guy apparently and very charity oriented.

Leafs seem to be the team really pushing for him and Im not shocked. Has burke type written all over him.

If that were to happen, I wouldn't be surprised if Schenn went the other way. He'd make a decent JMFJ replacement.

Brassard supposedly available for a roster player , a pick and a prospect , and the Hawks are talking.

I imagine a young roster player ( not named Frolik ), a 1st or 2nd, and a Center prospect. If true, I bet the sticking point is the prospect

I could see them offering Pirri and Columbus wanting McNeil.

Thats a tough call on Perri or McNeil. I don't know to much about McNeil as he is not tested, I don't know his talent as much. Really tough call. I like Bassard but I also don't know much about him. Is he worth what is mentioned in here?, I don't know.

Brassard is soft, a defensive liability, and sucks in the circle. His offensive side is inconsistent.

Vermette was traded by Columbus for a 2nd, 5th, and McElhinney. He would have been a better fit as a 2nd line center.

The Hawks should have gone out and traded for Vermette 3 years ago... instead they got Pahlsson.

if I played the Pat Foley drinking game, I might have gotten alcohol poisoning.

I have the Edzo bingo cards printed out (stop it right here), but I didn't know about a Foley drinking game. How does it work?

If he tells a story, take a drink? If he doesn't focus on the game, take a drink? If you see someone in the Chatroom bitching about him, take a drink?

If he sounds like he's drunk... Ok, that's just not fair... (I guess you'd be plastered by the first intermission)

It's something I created but have yet to play

When he gets a players name wrong, take a drink

When he loses focus for more than 15 seconds, take a drink

When he laughs at something uncontrolably, take a drink

When he takes a stab at Bill Wirtz, take a drink

When he mentions that we couldn't watch the games on TV before, take THREE drinks

I think we'd all be drunk halfway into the first period.

After watching the game against the Kings, I think it is quite obvious that we are going nowhere in the play-offs. A second round exit would be a huge achievement.

So why fool ourselves...

Let's get an early start on next year and start dumping some stiffs.

Yeah, let's be sellers.

Sell O'Donnell, Lepisto, Bickell, Brunette, (make sure to include Frolik in some deal)

get prospects, picks, whatever.

And let the retooling begin.

I would love that cho!! There are no reasons to hold onto those guys at all for the remaining of the season. They could put all of them on waivers and get nothing back and I wouldn't care. I don't want to see these guys playing at all. None of them attract a fan or viewer and none of them perform on the ice which couldn't be done by a farm squad. Let them go play their garbage hockey on another team its not a threat to the Hawks.

Frolik I fear we are stuck with. I don't think any teams are beating down the door for him and I doubt anyone would even claim him off waivers. Hes horrible. why the **** did Stan sign him for 3 freaking years? Cheap or not right now this looks like another contract Rocky might have to eat up. I am shocked at how horrible he is and I don't think hes getting any better.

Actually somewhat stunned that Lepisto was one of the few players with half ass emotion out there in the LA game though. Not that he played well but I think he actually rubbed someone off along the boards and got into a skirmish without skating away.

I am starting to agree with this notion. If the Hawks make it to the playoffs, they are not going to last long. Sell the players mentioned and get some picks and prospects. Insert some rookies in the line-up for the rest of the season so they get a taste of the big show and as a bonus some playoff experience if the Hawks make it.

I think you could get some late picks for our D-men the way the league is so hungry for them.
