No way, Shapie means to much to this team in Leadership, Tenure, consistency, and versitility. Sharpie is a core guy to me. I would actually get rid of Hossa first, not because I want to or he isn't bad ass, it's simply an age decision.

Fair enough, I agree Sharp means a great deal to this team, and perhaps I am discoutning his intangibles too much. He is a leader and has made a solid career for himself here in CHI, and again I dont advocate trying to move him, but for Rick Nash, if the Hawks were legitametly offered that (which I doubt they were) I think you have to consider it. The only person I woudln't consider trading for Nash on this team is the captain, other than that, I think you have to seriously consider it if given the oppurtunity. At 27, Nash is just hitting his prime. On a good team like the Hawks (theoretically anywasy) the sky's the limit for a player of that skill level. Just my humble opinion.

You are also putting too much stock in him being on Columbus. I look at it the opposite way, he's been the man there. And will continue to be. I feel with Nash on this team there will not be enough pucks to go around. He'll want to be the man, and he won't be the best guy on the team anymore. Not sure he'd mess especially with his cherry picking persona.

Sharps been the only good thing during this fucking nightmare trip. Not syaing a lot because he too has had his struggles but at least he is pretty much outscoring the rest of the team.

Never trade Sharp!! Just get him to play more like post Flyers new to the Hawks Sharp a little more.

I would take Sharp over Nash....I shock myself saying that a little because I have always been a Nash fan and who the **** knows what that guy would be capable of around some more talent and real linemates (Q would kill him though and try and turn him into a finess player). he always looks amazing in international games when he gets to play with real players and he has had some really good years playing with bums. That guy is deserving of playing on a real franchise now..I want to see what he is really all about...I don't think Columbus ever shows it.

I hope Bowman would never be stupid enough to pick him up. He makes almost 8 million a year. We already have enough big contracts.

I know that Bowman is so out of touch with the team that he'll bring in all the wrong pieces and the Hawks will at best limp into the playoffs.

Nash is a RWer anyways. Not something the Hawks lack. And imagine if they did trade Sharp for him? No lwers and 3 rwers capable of top 2 line minutes? Disaster.

Hey at least Bolland would be guaranteed a good winger.

But knowing Q he would force Kane to play LW.

Well, it doesn't help matters that Stevie Y is keeping him off the ice... Something's amiss...

TAMPA, Fla. -- Pavel Kubina appears to have played his final game for the Tampa Bay Lightning.

General manager Steve Yzerman says the NHL team has decided to keep the veteran defenceman off the ice until a trade can be completed.

Yzerman told reporters that no deal is imminent, but that Kubina will be held off the ice as a precaution.

We don't know where he's going, but Pavel has a limited no-trade clause also... This could be what's holding any potential trade up.

no link....my cousin that lives in Tampa, knows this guy that walks the dog of Pavel Kubin's next door neighbor that told me. ....Just a hunch. TSN is reporting a trade about to happen, Yzerman has taken him of the ice until the trade can be completed.....I smell a new Hawk possible Emery going the other way.

Sounds plausible to me....the dog walker part of course.

The trade does too, just not sure who would go the other way.

Kubina to the Hawks makes sense, and would definitely improve the team. For that reason, it won't happen.

I guess at least he can't cheap shot Bolland again if they are teammates. But they would have to keep an eye on him in practice. I just knew they would have to add a POS to make the team better. But if he helps the D I guess that's what the Hawks have to do.

I'll reserve judgement until it's confirmed, and when I see what is going the other way.
