Supposedly Kane for Miller rumors heating back up according to a source who is ussually completely full of shit. However even a broken clock is correct twice a day...

There is no indication that Bowman has even contacted the Lightning, days ago the Lightning weren't sure if they were buying or selling. Maybe they've made up their mind, could be good for us either way if he doesn't end up in our division.

The way I see it, they need a goalie, I see Emery going and Kubina coming, then I see us either getting Habby to replace him. Or the dog walker can be full of shit.

After reading a little bit about this online (which of course means huge grain of salt), sounds like no deal is in place. Yzerman appears to have pulled him in anticipation of trading him but has not settled on deal or even a trading partner. Twitter is going crazy with people saying their team is the natural choice for Kubina. Rangers, Nashville, Pens, even one Islanders fan proposing Nabby for Kubina.

The bleacher report has had the Miller for Kane a couple times. So I am assuming that is the source, Then I would agree, its full of shit. Kane should not be traded, as bad as he is playing he does open up the game and draws two players all the time.

I really do feel a deal is immanent, its just a matter of who and at what cost.

Well considering they pulled him out of practice and asked for a list of teams, I think that's obvious. Zidlicky is another one that will be traded soon, are the Wild giving up on their playoff hopes? Might start to see a lot of teams changing their tune in the next few days.

I just heard there are reports out of Buffalo that Miller will waive his no-trade clause if he could go to Chicago. This is coming off Prime Time Sports on Sportsnet.

Kubina to the Hawks makes sense, and would definitely improve the team. For that reason, it won't happen.

Does make sense. So you are right.

This kids not a huge Kubina fan (I find him horribly over-rated) but its a deal that I would certainly take as it would improve the team no questions about it.

Before Kane....yes

Kane's 23 - Sharp 30

Kane - .307gpg

Sharp - .335gpg

-Not a big difference there...and Kane's slump has dropped that number, but he'll be consistantly in the 30g range

Kane - .623apg

Sharp - .332apg

-Not even close

Kane - .930ppg

Sharp - 668ppg

-Again, Kane by far

Kane makes his linemates better. A solid goalscorer on his line will get 30g - and he hasn't even hit his stride, which usually doesn't happen until a player hits 26/27. He's more durable. He has 12+ years left in the league.

Yes, I would move Sharp if it was needed to get Miller, Nash, etc (which isn't going to happen anyways) - not Kane. Kane and Toews go nowhere.

Again...I don't see anything like that happening. But Kane is a better, longer term asset and talent than Sharp

Hossa would be delt before either were anyways even with the length of his contract. If this club ever was set to deal one of the top 4 forwards (Kane, Toews, Sharp, Hossa).

Sharp for Miller - yes. Kane - no.

Wow.... we also would be giving up a versatile player as well... Sharp can play C as well, remember. Not very many players can play more than one position as we all know.

Versatile players like that are assets in the playoffs, especially for as cheap as we got Sharp for.

Giving up that kind of player for a goalie like Ryan Miller? Are you kidding me? Thank god you're not my GM... I'd be bringing a torch and heading for your house.
