Trade DJ Moore?!

So since we’re in the rumor mill season, thought I’d share something I heard (Benjamin Solak?) regarding a trade of DJ Moore to the Patriots.

What if:
Bears move up to 4 and get Pats pick 2-38.
Pats get pick 10 and DJ Moore.
Is that fair value?

Pros:
-Abdul Carter is likely a Bear
-3 2nd round picks; ie 1 DT and 2 OL
-more cap space

Cons:
-DJ Moore is a stud
-just signed the long-term extension

I’m not saying I would do this trade or not. Obviously the biggest factor would be DJ’s state of mind. One has to think he wants to stay in Chi long term due to the extension.

Anyway, I found the proposal interesting and worth at least considering. But maybe that is because Carter is my favorite player in the draft.

Do it. Offensive line and defensive front 7. Fix that and it will barely matter who the WRs behind Rome are.

If the Bears are sticking with CW, might be right to move DJ. He was mostly upset about not winning. But there also seems to not be any chemistry between CW and DJ. Early on in the season DJ was getting pissed at CW, he got called out by Chicago media, and going forward he seemed to not openly show it. If you ask me, I'd take DJ but that's not happening I don't think.

All I will say is that if Ben Johnson ends up being the head coach of the Bears, they aren't trading DJ Moore.

I’m a fan of Moore. Not really sure what I would do if I was the Bears GM and this was actually proposed. But I think Carter will be a bonafide star and I have more faith in Caleb than you do.

Obviously the Pats would take on the contract, electing to pair Maye with a proven WR after failing to land Tee Higgins. The other candidate mentioned in the article is DK Metcalf.

Obviously this wouldn’t happen unless DJ has made it clear he would rather play for NE despite the recent extension.

I don’t know man, I just think it’s interesting analyzing these kinds of scenarios.

No. That's stupid. He's a great WR. If our OL was better, he'd have gotten more targets. It was CW's rookie year, give him a little time to acclimate.

So i also saw this but the 2nd rounder (#38) wasn't in there or i somehow overlooked it and i said hellz no because i thought the trade was DJ Moore and #10 to move up to #4. I really don't want to trade DJ but that #38 might just change it for me because we get A.Carter or M.Graham, #38 and the cap space to replace DJ whether that be Tee Higgins or someone else.

I never said I would do the trade. But getting Carter and an extra 2nd plus more cap would be something most people would seriously consider.

But I would also be all for keeping DJ plus a guy like Nolen or Mykel Williams at 10.
