The nuggets just traded to get Afflalo, and unless they are complete idiots, they have to know that he would make the Bulls even better so how much would that 1st round pick in the late twenties be worth to them? They would certainly want more than Snell who's a bust, and Dunleavy who would be pissed to be traded and isn't worth much on a non contender..

they did just trade for him but the season hasn't gone as planned so they have to sit back and evaluate the team going forward

laymans terms:

if Denver thinks they have a shot to do anything this season and/or plan on keeping Afflalo long term - its a no deal
if they dont think they will do anything and dont want to pay up to keep Afflalo long term - its a deal

IF they look to deal him i think that will be a competitive package for him...maybe im wrong on that but i know Orlando tried to trade him all of last year and obviously didn't have any great offers

Oh and trying to be realistic about Doug McDermott is also futile around here.

He's been deemed "Better than Kyle Korver" by most around here who basically ignore the fact that prior to being hurt he was playing terrible offensively and his defense was actually worse than advertised (I had even started to think that Thibs had hit little Dougie in the knee with a bat so he didn't have to keep playing him).

Since I'm a fan of the team I have my fingers crossed but he looked liked a huge bust.....

Maybe we should trade McD for Gary 'fuckin' Harris? :dunno:

Harris AND Nurkic > McD, at this point. Keep licking your McDermott poster and maybe everything will work itself out....:dunno:

Anything is possible and neither of us actually knows any more than the other, so in layman's terms we can agree to disagree.

The point wasn't to say you "said" you knew more or less... Only to diffuse any negativity. Some people can't debate a point without making it personal so I was basically cutting it short. I don't think for a minute that the Nuggets would take that offer, but like I said anything is possible so maybe you are right.

I don't have to lick any poster to want to actually give my 1st round pick a chance before I get rid of him. :dunno: Heck, if you had your way, GarPax would be fired, right? I think the Bulls did a pretty good job this past off season, just like I said back then.

Not sure how Phoenix feels about their season or how they will feel about it come trade deadline time. but the bulls should look into trading for Gerald green for wing help. the suns might be willing to trade him since its his contract year, and the bulls could use him as a final piece to help push for the title as a one year rental player. maybe a doug McDermott for green swap? the contract money works just barely. throw in a draft pick if necessary

What do you think we could get for Derrick Rose?

Get your facts straight, I said if the Bulls aren't in the finals this year they should be fired. As for Dougie, I didn't like the trade but what's done is done and I'm willing to give him more time to improve, but if they could get a stud like Afflalo for him....Adios.

I'd Love Affalo. Heck, GarPax already showed interest in him. I'm just not sure that I want to give up on McD just yet. Currently, watching this Wiz game, I'm thinking someone that can drill 5-6 3's in a row would look good. I think McD can do this.

If I were the Bulls, I would dangle whatever picks we have plus Snell for Affalo. Throw in Dunn to get it done. I still think adding Ray Allen would make the Bulls great. I'll give up on that idea after the all star break.

A wing rotation of Butler, Allen, McD, Niko, would be great, imo. Throw in Dunn and Snell if we sign Allen as well.

Outside of Summer League, Snell has been worthless. I could say the same for Doug except at least he is still a rookie. The Bulls have the right to trade picks with the Cavs this year, so if the choice is between: give up a 1st round pick that might be in late teens, or trade a guy who looks like a huge a mistake in order to get a borderline allstar like Afflalo. Adios Dougie and here's hoping you turn it around.

Either way it will never happen, could anyone imagine how bad GarPax would look if they gave up 3 #1 picks (Doug, Nurkic, Harris) just to get Afflalo.

Lol..... some of you simpletons who're ready to write off Snell and McDermott are comical.

And it's even funnier that a majority of you were the same ones calling to deal Jimmy Butler after year one "because he couldn't get off the bench".

Foot -- meet mouth.

i don't ever remember anybody dismissing Jimmy Butler

anybody that did was ignorant to the fact he showed he was gonna be a great defensive stopper

how about a trade of bairstow to the nuggets for Alonzo gee? hes having a nice year for them and wouldn't cost the bulls anything to get. expiring contract so the nuggets would be interested in getting something for him im sure. throw in a 2nd round pick if need be, they just traded away mozgov so they might want a big body like bairstow on their roster. gee is 6'6 225 and 27 years old. he is shooting the ball well in his 13 min per game this year. just spitballing ideas, he could provide the wing depth we are looking for on the cheap

If they'd do that trade, sure lol. Gee hasn't really been anything special and I'm actually not sure how much more he'd do than Tony Snell though. I'd rather have Gerald Green lol

lol I think you already know id rather have Gerald green too. just a realistic guy to get in gee. he is having a nice year, way better than snell is(gee is shooting 43% from 3 and 46% overall). another guy that I think could be possible is wes Johnson from the lakers
