Disagree 100%. Put Fields in day 1.
I could be wrong, I'm no football wizard. And if our O-line can prove that it can play above a high school level, I'd agree. We really can't do much about facing fierce defensive linemen but we do have control over our line and right now, I just don't trust them to keep JF from having a knee destroyed or shoulder separated. We got some starters practicing today, maybe things improve (although Iferdi sucks really, really bad in my opinion and it's only on the Bears is he considered a starter) but hey, he's gotta be better than Fred from the Quickilube station, right?

Might as well hold out JF until they have a HOF o line.

What's the point of doing that if he doesn't have any weapons? Field shouldn't see the field without a HOF line and multiple HOF skill positions. Otherwise he might be RUINED!

And fans want the Bears to play their starters for a long time?

They have to play their 3rd and 4th stringers the whole game just to have someone healthy to start against the Rams. Sure, some injuries may heal quickly, but what happens to players who get injured and need more than a week or two to heal?

Play Foles the entire game.

With how bad coverage team was, they'll have to give Nall a spot. He'll be the starter by week 7 and super bowl MVP.

The only tackle that is making the team that played last week is Borom. The others are practice squad candidates.

Really really wrong takes on those tweets.
So let's risk our future franchise on a piece of shit line against one of the most destructive pass rushers the very first game. Not only risk him being crushed but start instilling in him all the bad habits that come with not being able to trust your O-line. I guess it's never too early to ruin a good QB.
Dalton is not good but I am all for him being the QB while this O-line tries to find it's ass with both hands.

And just because your QB can take "one of the hardest shots that 'caved in his chest'" does that really mean you want him to?

This year is fucked. This team is fucked until we get a head coach that is NFL caliber and a GM that understands player evaluation. I want the Bears to contend this year but it won't happen. Let's not kill our chances for future years... after all, how many JF's are we going to be able to draft?
You haven't answered the question posted there. In a nutshell, do you think the Bears should hide Fields from every single good rusher in the league?

Quit pussifying Fields. Let the Alpha do what the Alpha is going to do. Let him learn on the field, where he belongs.

Cam is an idiot. They should just start Mac Jones.

Wilkinson could be the 8th OL guy on the team. Borom, Bars and Wilkinson as depth. Wilkinson would be second reserve at T and G.

Here is a post about that two posts above this one.

But, you don't take your new boat out in a hurricane. It's stupid.

If this line is inevitably going to get him hurt if he plays, how long do you think it would be until Dalton and Foles are hurt?

Good point! I never thought of it that way either. I recently read people in the NFL community told Terrell Owens to stay in shape because you never know why could happen. Bring him in Nagy!!

So if Nagy does not see a problem throwing Fields out there with Fred from Quickilube against defensive linemen who are trying to make a name for themselves by knocking off his head or shredding his knee, why should Nagy be concerned more against the 1st team Rams starters?

At least the starters are not out there trying to end Field's career before it starts.
