I just want them to do what is best for Fields so I am really hoping Dalton can play well so they aren’t forced to start him because of outside pressure. If he is ready great.

I kind of wish they just told them look you have next year as well do what is best for this QB. Remember Rodgers sat what 3 years and he talks about how it was huge for him. Now they are doing the same thing with Love.
Dalton is not even close to Favre though.

I think too many of you wanting Dalton to play will be singing a different tune when we all actually have to watch Dalton play.

Kind of like how everyone here was on team Foles...until we had to watch him play a few games.

If Dalton goes out there and bombs against the Rams, you're really gonna tell us you'll want of the same in week 2?

I'd rather watch the rookie struggle to be honest. He's the future, not Dalton.

It is literally in my first sentence that I hope Dalton plays well. Who the hell thinks Dalton is close to Favre? Certainly isn't me, you're arguing against a point nobody has made.

It’s because he’s the future that I don’t want to see him struggle like that. Trial by fire can cause growth. But trial by suicide?? No…

I am ALL IN on Fields. Like most of you, I track his progress daily and can hardly wait to see him taking snaps as our QB.

That said, I am perfectly fine with him watching and learning for some part/majority/whole season if need be. Whatever it takes. We all need to be patient and let the kid get acclimated to the pro game.

If it happens sooner rather than later - great! If not, so long as it happens I am perfectly fine with waiting for part or all of this season. The big picture —- long term ‘sustained’ success is what’s most important to me.

As good as the D has looked, none of it matters unless they generate more takeaways and stop the run on the road.

I hope they turn a corner and that Goldman/Hicks/Nichols stay healthy. That front 7 can make those guys in the backfield look awfully good if they can stop the run and let guys like Mack and Quinn hunt.

The point is that's how rookies learn, by struggling, by making mistakes and overcoming them on the field. It may be painful for us to watch, but mistakes are a huge part of any rookie's learning process.

Just his ego. He did pretend to be hurt after Mooney beat him on a different play.

Who needs corners anyways. They are expendable right

Depends on the struggles. If he’s running for his life, he’s not learning to go through his reads, for instance.

Struggling isn’t always the best way to try to learn…
