Best tv show I've ever seen.. This smokes breaking bad. Can't wait til Sunday .
My theory is it's the mentally challenged guy .. Remember this has something to do w man has scars? That guy got his balls n dick cut off in prison for being in front of school? rust said they did a real nasty bad job of it in prison..there's the scars. Also, was in front of children's school.. Guess who goes missing? Also he was the worst Bc he made the girl watch; aka he couldn't technically do"anything"
Also , girl never clarified where the scars were on him. She just freaked out ...he's also in the intro credits raising a his hands in the air as if in some sermon; he hasn't done that yet in the show.

Agree, best show I have seen. Only two episodes left. There are a lot of different theories out there but Marty's daughter's have definitely seen something with the drawings. I am not sure if they were abused by Marty, the Father N Law or what is going on. There is a picture hanging in Marty's house of the circle tat that was on the girl with the cross.

I'm going with the father-in-law, or at least that he's somehow connected. He had the aura of a powerful guy, fairly nice house and connected to politics, the kind of guy Ledeaux's roommate talked about when they interviewed him in prison and he talked about the rich & powerful men who worshipped satan in the woods. Marty would just be too detective movie cliche for a show written that well. Remember at the beginning where Marty is being interviewed and he talks about the detective's curse? That he can't see the one obvious clue that's been right under his nose the entire time? The daughter goes crazy, the drawings, playing with the naked dolls in ritualistic poses...

Also, the preview of this week's show had a clip where Cohle has Marty watch a video that he's presumably gathered in the course of his personal investigation into the crimes. Cohle is turned around, waiting for a reaction, and Marty shouts "No!" and recoils out of his chair. My guess is that Cohle dug up a video of Marty's daughter being abused in one of the rituals, and has him watch it to manipulate Marty into helping him finish the case.

thanks. Yeah, I absolutely love the show. I thought right away it had something to do w that challenged guy. The scars girl saw, he's got scars, he made her watch Bc he couldn't do anything .. He has somethin to do w it.
Definitely think something happened to Marty's daughter; I'm just not too sure what. It could be Marty's Father in Law for sure.
Not a doubt in my mind this goes further than just a small cult.. This is big.
