It would surprise me if he plays up here consistently.

Did he have an autograph line?
I absolutely hope he doesn't...

...but when the Nucks/Blues are in town, I hope he's suited up and ready to go.

Scott will NOT PLAY AT FORWARD!!!! Stan already said IF he plays it will be defense. Meaning 5 or 6.

And I'm not sure you've seen Scott play by that comment. He is far from Koci. Koci could not skate.

When did you start watching this team?
Check their numbers RK. Koci has a career high 2pts per NHL season of service. Scott has a career high 2 pts as well. Both guys are one dimensional - they can fight. I think our Hawks proved last year that fighting wasn't part of our game and we didn't have a whole lot of fights the entire season. And we didn't need to. I bet you Scott will be spending more time as a healthy scratch in the pressbox this coming season than on the ice.

I believe he had two autograph sessions, but I honestly didn't spend any time down there, other than to meander about the vendor area.

I did one autograph all weekend and wish I hadn't done that one. I gave the scratch off away. To Frank I think LOL!

Thanks but that wasn't the conversation. RK was disagreeing with me on my statement that Scott=Koci. To which I replied with numbers for both guys and stated that both are one dimensional players - they can fight but that's it. I don't see any difference between these two players.

Scott can skate. Koci can't. That seems like a more significant difference than points for a 6th/7th d-man.

EDIT: and Koci is a winger.

You gave me the hotel one that they accidently punched. My buddy used it and almost didn't get through cus it was punched already. It worked though. Thanks!

I was saying from what I've seen of them both Scott can skate and has some hands. Two things David could not doo.

Either way he'll be scratched or in Rockford.

And PMX

Thankyou. I think I'm talking to a brick wall. I've pointed out numberous times what position Scott plays as well.

Problem with Eager is that his Physical game is gone. He is one concussion away from ending his career. IE Johnsson. He missed how many games at the beginning of the season directly because he could not pass the concussion test, and his game showed that the rest of the year.

I'm excited to see Bickell-Dowell-Skille, verses Eager-Fraser-Burish. I think the new fourth line will have just as much if not more talent than the former.
Burish wasn't a factor until late in the year. For most of the season, the fourth line was Kopecky/Fraser/Eager. Those three guys scored a combined 24 goals. Can Bickell/Dowell/Skille do that? Maybe. Especially if Bickell stays there all year (which I don't think he will). But 24 goals is a lot to replace from a 4th line. That's all I am saying.

I'll remain optimistic. You keep pointing out what could be the negative. I guess if thats how you want to look at things.

Eager did not play the first portion of the season either. He wasn't a factor at all because he did not play his game due to his fear of ending his career. When your top two lines are stacked your fourth line will inherently produce. I seriously doubt Kopecky will be any where near the 4th line this year. From the Olympics on he was in the top forwards on the team.

Thats all I'm saying.

And this thread has derailed. Is there a lineup thread already? If not, there should be.

I had him second but pretty close to your assessment. Here's my list of the players we lost with #1 being the most painful.

1) Buff

2) Ladd

3) Versteeg

4) Sopel

5) Niemi

6) Madden

7) Eager

8) Burish

9) Frasier
So if Niemi is so far down and his loss didn't hurt the Hawks much . . . then why so much anger and the need to boo him?

Yeah, I know I'm beating a very dead horse but I simply cannot understand that mentality. At all.
