They don't teach you the value of good sources in 6th grade?

Public school kid I assume?

And the last major shift was around 30 million years ago.

Way to dodge a legit question.

Chicken.

On top of this believing or not believing in intelligent life =/= to buying into the bullshit that AA tries to sell on a weekly basis.

What is intelligent is a stupid question. He knows what I am talking about. If he is thinking robots and shit he needs to shut the **** up, we arent talking about transformers.

There is nothing wrong with pondering on different theories as crazy as some of them sound.

When it all comes down to it, the pyramids are one the craziest things made, and if it was made just by man, that is a huge huge accomplishment. They may have been more advanced than we all thought.

Actually it's not.

I could believe there is intelligent life out there..but that doesn't mean I believe in UFO's. I could also believe that there is life somewhere else out there..but it's not intelligent. It's on a small "animal" perhaps even microbial level.

Hell dolphins and moneys are really fucking smart. Would something to that "level" be intelligent life?

Or you could believe in higher intelligent life that has the ability to travel across space to visit us.

It's not simply some easy answer.

Nice work missing that.

Im not even talking about UFOs Im talking about intelligent life outside of the earth UFO or not.

of course dolphins are intelligent.

I believe in something that could be closer to intelligence like us but maybe primative, and or way advanced.

the point is, everyone knows that when someone asks if you believe in intelligent life it means what i stated above.

I dont recall the source, but there was very convincing evidence and speculation in regards to the Egyptians building the Pyramids themselves. And I remember seeing the recreation of these tools which was capable of producing the geometric shapes and all that shit. I think people are to quick to dismiss the notion of both theories, Mankinds Ingenuity, or an Alien Influence. Which one is the actual truth is uncertain, but AA's main problem is that they make past cultures out to be completely ignorant.

I haven't read a post in this thread to this point.

Space is fucking huge. We're minuscule. There is other shit out there, if you think we're the sole life in all of this shit, you silly.

But the thought that other life is more intelligent than us and has visited Earth, regardless of their physical existence, is quite dubious.

wow, you are a fucking ignorant.

forget this show, forget their theories. The possibility of intelligent life out there is fucking huge with the billions of solar systems and billions of stars. to believe we are alone in the universe shows how stupid you really are.

Did I ever say that I didn't think there was life out there? No.

I haven't responded to a single post in this thread seriously. Note the Giorgio Meme's in this thread.

To believe that another poster thinks something that they never stated in this thread shows how stupid you really are.

Exactly my point.

Lets say someone buys a single lottery ticket(Earth), and I tell them they probably wont win(aliens landing here). Then in return they say, "20 million people out there bought a ticket, it's stupid to think someone wont win"

?????

More people buying more tickets doesn't increase your chances of winning. Just like there being 20 billion solar systems doesn't increase the chances of aliens ever being here.
You think aliens exist? Cool story bro. Once again...give me a good reason why you think they've been here on Earth, without telling me how big the universe is as if that someone helps your argument.

The universe being so large actually lessens the chance of visitation. If the universe was the size of the Earth and the Earth was the size of Pluto with just one other planet (smaller) they'd be closer together and we'd be able to visit the other with technology we currently have. In its full size, aliens would have to go from the Pleaides to Earth, which is impossible for us humans to do. From an evolutionist standpoint which I would have taken until a few years ago, there is no reason to believe that aliens evolved more advanced than us, which theoretically should take more than the 4 billion plus years taken for the predecessors of protobionts to evolve into Homo sapiens sapiens (not typeo just differentiating modern humans from Homo sapiens idaltu subspecies), then they evolved into a more culturally and technologically advanced civilization than we have, and then either taken a couple thousand year trip to Earth or built a machine large enough to carry several of them and still go faster than the speed of light. Even at the speed of light it would take a few thousand years, it would need to be several thousand years more than that. Oh, and they'd need a shitload of some form of gasoline or alternative to make it all the way here and then go back. Sorry, not buying it that they've visited Earth.

Sure stuff can change in the future, but right now it's pretty much a law of physics that nothing can move faster then the speed of light.

Also you have to factor in that when viewing objects far away in the universe, we see them as they are in the past. Now 10,000 light years is relatively close in terms of the universe as a whole, practically neighbors. But guess what? Even if aliens were looking at Earth with a telescope from that distance...they wouldn't see people and cities. They'd see whatever the Earth looked like 10,000 years ago. If they were looking for real intelligent life then there'd be no reason to come here. On the other hand who knows...maybe Mars had people 10,000 years ago. Maybe there was intelligent life forms on Jupiter before the storm wiped them out. Once again....why would they come to Earth?

The universe being so large actually lessens the chance of visitation.

Ha! and here's my favorite thing about this.....

People say it's arrogant to believe that we're alone, even when the only argument against it is probability. Well I can do that too..Out of all the planets and solar systems in the known universe, how many do we know have any life at all? 1. Deeper than that...out of the billions of species that have ever lived here on Earth..how many are considered intelligent? 1.
1 is all you have in the entire known universe, and yet we "intelligent" humans after all these years haven't even been able to lay hands on any other planet in our own solar system.

So what are the chances that there are aliens close to us flying around from planet to planet Star Wars style?

Comparing our evolution to another possible intelligent lifeform is quite ignorant. Our existence is but a blink in the eyes of the universe. Our 'knowledge' of the known universe is equivalent to a preschooler. People in general are quick to shun any possibility because they can only see our current limitations. Our progress is hindered by our own ignorance toward eachother. Could you actually imagine what we could accomplish if we actually worked together as one species and not in competition?

However, I do agree it does seem statistically improbable that an advance civilization could find us as our galaxy is but a speck of dirt in comparison to the universe. Could it happen? Yes it could. Could an advance race travel quickly throughout the universe? Why not? There are many theories regarding wormholes and whatnot. Just because we cant capitalize on it is again ignorant to say it cant be or isnt done. But if they have been here, or are here still, then WTF? Whats with the secrecy bullshit?

What is there to address? you have a bunch of hypotheticals? you want me to address those with ansewers that I dont know, ansewers that no one knows. shut the **** up.

this isnt baseball with stats and things we know.

Everything you a saying is hypothetical as well and you are using probability to determine whether or not there is extraterrestrial life, therefore I am outlining how low the probability is that they have actually been here.

I also believe that the number of solar systems should not be a determinant as to odds of extraterrestrial life. One they must have a habitable planet. Two the odds of life forming are very very slim, to an evolutionist it should be fascinating that life ever formed here, much less anywhere else. It is simply a very low chance that amino acids and proteins are arranged in such a way as to form a new organism (or any other hypothetical building block being arranged) and the planet in question would need both of those and every other thing that goes into a first cell and the resources necessary to sustain said life. Then there is the even lower odds that intelligent beings arise from it and are able to build the necessary equipment to get there.

And Jysen, what makes you think that another race of life knows more about space than us besides Giorgio Tsoukalos saying that they do?

There is absolutely no solid evidence that says they they've been here, no matter how Ancient Aliens tries to pass stuff off as proof.
