She does that on occasion... there's no need to, but she still does.

Just hasn't much of interest for me in NHTA lately.

I don't need the attention... Jako feeds off it, so no jealousy there.

Gonna see if I can talk the girlfriend into watching "Dead" tonight (I've been waiting for her so I can get caught up).

I hate that about my wife, she's so busy I end up waiting on her to watch stuff, then we finally sit down to watch and she either is doing something else, or falls asleep and I wonder why I waited in the first place.

That doesnt annoy me so much as when they ask to rent movies you have absolutely no interest in watching, but you are gonna take one for the team, then after like 25 minutes in she gets up and does something else, leaving you watching some shit movie you didnt want to watch in the first place.

Yep she's ruined netflix for me, almost as bad as netflix did, for so many reasons.

So far she's really good about that - if we sit down to watch something, we actually watch it. Right now, I'm trying to get her into Doctor Who (which Netflix thankfully put back on streaming - including a lot of the older episodes!) I have dated chick who do just crash and then have had to watch shit multiple times because they kept missing it.

Oh boy - with that... I'd just shut it off and put on what I want. If she asked what happened to it, you say "it was over." Of course, I say that - when actually, if I get more than a certain point in a movie, no matter how bad, I feel like I have to tough it out and see it through.

She complains when I watch movies without her, and then she falls asleep when I watch movies with her. I watch everything and she has a very narrow type of movie selection that I know she will like and watch. I don't even bother watching movies anymore if I know she might come home while I'm watching it because she'll either complain that I didn't wait for her, or start asking me questions about it to get her caught up. It's why I have a movie (True Grit) that i've been wanting to see for ever, sitting on my dvd player for weeks now. Just can't find that right 3 hour block.

One of the wife's favorites, I never really got into it, but I still put it on the DVR for her. I try to get her some shows that are just for her, so that she has something to watch on the DVR when I'm not around.

That was the same with my ex, but even then her attention span with movies was very limited, i dont think i had ever seen her sit down and follow through with an entire film unless we went to the theater, which im pretty sure I can count the times we did that on one hand, and it was usually me dragging her to a movie I wanted to see.

It was annoying for me because I love to watch movies. She loved to have Fox News on 24/7 while she did other things. Now that I think about it, she probably left me for Kerfluffle.

Well... for me, it's not always that way, just depends, a lot of times there are movies I really want to see that I knew she will enjoy, she just doesn't know it. So it's hard to get her to sit down and watch it, so I wait and wait for the right time, then I force her to watch it. And she really likes it. Same thing with TV shows for me, things like Battlestar Galatica, Dr. Who., Torchwood, Dexter, SOA, ect... all shows that don't appeal to her at first glance but that I made sure she gave a shot, and now she loves them. Some of the shows she just pretends to like so that I'll watch them with her because she likes to spend the time with me but I can tell by her fading during them and doing other things so I don't bother waiting most of the time.

Yeah, I'm still trying to feel some of that out. Only one I know for sure that I can't watch without her is Walking Dead. Once Upon a Time/Grimm, still trying to see how much she cares about those (and I'm still trying to figure out if I care about them, too).

Does anyone know if that show with Jesus and Ben Linus is still on? I never got around to checking it out.

Also Mass, I just discovered that Talking Dead IS on On Demand, so I'll probably be checking those out this weekend.

I just let stuff back up on the DVR and since I know I like them all I ask her what she wants to watch, usually the stuff that she's interested she'll say first most of the time depending on what she's in the mood for, the rest of the shows I know she likes and will watch, but won't be mad if I watch them without her. Things like House, which she likes but wouldn't be mad if she missed a few. Things like Criminal Minds, she'd be mad if I deleted it even if she didn't see it yet, and things like Dr. Who, she would be pissed if I didn't watch it with her. Just takes time and memory to gauge it I guess.

I have directv on demand so I'll have to check it out, i doubt they have it though.

EDIT: I just looked, and the only one they have is Episode 1 in SD, so I'm downloading it now, and set the DVR up to record the future ones. Thanks for the reminder.

Anyone catch Hell on Wheels last night?

I didn't dislike it but I have a feeling it's going to be one I won't feel too bad about missing if I do. Extremely violent so far and Colm Meaney is delightfully evil in it.

Not surprisingly, the show reminds me of Red Dead Redemption with more of a focus on trains.

It's on my DVR. Read a really good article about it in Wired (I think) how they barrowed some from history and made the rest up. Especially with Colm Meaney's charecter as in real life he has no redeeming qualities and they had to write some in.
