Wow. I can't believe how much different he looks even just compared to Stargate which (I don't think) was THAT long ago. I usually catch stuff like this and that just slipped right past me.

That's what I was thinking too. I wasn't an avid SG1 fan but knew enough that his character was promoted in later seasons so Anderson could spend time with his family but still... c'mon O'Neill, lay off the donuts or they're gonna need a Stargate with a wider circumference!

I officially want the little girl to be a zombie so someone can bash her fucking skull in. I am bored out of my mind with looking for this girl. Also **** them for ending the show where they did, they suck for that but how that unravels will be interesting, even though when she freaked out reading the note I kinda figured it was something like that.

I don't mind the kids but I don't want a whole fucking season dedicated to finding this little kid. Sorry I'm so fucking bored and tired of the locale it ain't funny. There is no suspense staying on a protected farm. At least when they were staying in the woods you never knew when the zombies were coming. This season is one long bad Quentin Tarantino film, a whole mess of talk followed by glimpses of ultra violence.

The kids are a huge part of the show, especially with Laurie now pregnant. Remember I said it's a zombie drama not a zombie action. A lot of the story will be about the effects the world around the kids have on their up bringing. They are essentially empty shells with not much idea of the way the world should have been. Their moral compasses are going to be completely different because being scared and killing things is an every day occurance. There is no more going to school, getting that drivers license. The whole world has changed and the kids are a big part of how it will be shaped and it's a very interesting dynamic because for once, they really are the future. Again, this show isn't about zombies, it's about the people trying to live in this type of world and they choices they must make to survive. I didn't see last night, but if they showed what I think they showed it should have been pretty good.

Don't watch it, try again. All that has happened is a little girl got lost and every week something stupid happens that keeps them at that boring as **** farm even longer. Remember when in the first you know the story moved forward every week? This season has done nothing but spins its tires and go nowhere.

Its building suspense for a confrontation with the vet. He wants them off the property. I get the feeling the walkers in the barn are his family members and he's been "feeding" them. I thought last night's episode was good. The series is scary good, and the drama trumps the gore and violence. Thought for sure last night redneck was a goner multiple times, but he appears to have 9 lives.

I agree with Supra to a point. Last season there wasnt enough character development. TO the point I didnt give a shit about anyone dying. It seems they took that to an extreme in the opposite direction now.

Its not lack of zombie action thats the problem. Its the plot going absolutely nowhere thats the problem. Now there just seems to be way too much filler preventing the story from advancing. Seriously look at the end of each episode. What actually happened to advance the plot? pretty much nothing, it was just more character development.

There are plenty of shows than manage to give you a balance. Id say a good show to use as a blueprint to keep the plot moving as well as maintain the drama and character development is true blood. Boardwalk empire is guilty as hell of having the plot go absolutely nowhere as well.

Walking dead is borderlining on frustrating for me right now.

Dont get me wrong I still enjoy the episodes each week, i just wish they would dig their tires out of the snow.

That is a likely theory but that whole family going along with it seems odd. And what or who has he been feeding them? If he was feeding them people, why not take out the main characters? The redneck really has grown on me. Hopefully he stays with the group. Shane is interesting and I agree with his take on the situation. The series is just moving too slowly for my tastes. I like drama and I like good characters (hell since I told you I've been watching Grey's Anatomy, I like that show for the characters and how flawed they are). I can't even watch testosterone flicks anymore. Movies like the expendables bore me to death in the first 30 minutes.

The funny part is I love the pacing of Boardwalk Empire, to see the backroom deals and the pieces falling into place. the plot moves forward every week in Boardwalk, sure on the surface jack shit happens to be the gears are in motion every week. While I feel Walking Dead just goes nowhere this season.

I think the first season had some decent character development. For me characters development is best in the face of adversity. Like T-Dog dropping the key and how he reacted. how the blonde reacted losing her sister, hell having to put her sister down. This season the only defining moments for that (to me) was how the sheriff reacted to his boy getting shot and Shane shooting Otis.

Yeah I watched the pilot last night on AMC on Demand. that one looks like it is going to be good. It just hit me where I know the owner of the UP came from (the actor). Star Trek the Next Generation/Deep Space Nine 9.

Walking Dead is a fine show. If it ended tomorrow, I wouldn't be upset. If it has good writers, which I think it does, there is gonna be some interesting twists and/or good plot movement. I hope I ain't wrong.

That's kind of how I feel, they're cute but there's not a whole lot you can do with them in an otherwise adult show. Try to make them useful and you end up with Wesley Crusher.

"What's the boy doing on the bridge?" "Saving the collective asses of the hundreds of highly trained Star Fleet professionals on board for the nth time this season, captain!"

Besides, another big difference between comic books and TV is that while the time frame of the serialized story is compressed the actors age in real time. That's not as noticeable with mature adults as it is with child actors. Look at Walt on Lost, before he was kidnapped he's a kid but shortly after in story time... POW!!! the next time you see him he looks like a freaking skyscraper!
