I've been slowly catching up and I love the premise of the show... but the execution is kinda "meh" to me. Although most of that has to do with the female lead - she's just so whiny and irritating. Billy Burke, on the other hand, is pretty freaking cool and they are really do a great job making him a dynamic character.

I've liked it so far. Walking dead was the same way the first season though. They will start seeing what people want and adjust accordingly because the concept is great.

Yeah, I tried to watch an episode of it and it didn't hook me at all. It was still in the charecter development phase, but I just couldn't get into it, and they were even in chicago.

The first 4 episodes bounce all over illinois, chicago, then Pontiac IL. I don't even want to know how long it would take to walk from Chicago to pontiac, or better yet, where they are at now, they are going to be walking from Indiana to Philadelphia.

In walking dead they have cars and I don't think they have left Georgia yet.

Everybody watch the new episode of SOA yet?

SPOILERS below if you havent

Juice isnt gonna die, even though Jax knows he was the rat now. Because he has the goods on Clay also. He is now their key to proving Clay was in charge of the Nomads.

I totally agree about Juice... they want us to think they'll kill him, but I definitely don't think they will now. Gemma is stupid for NOT telling Nero about Jax's plan. The dude is all about trust, I can't believe she doesn't see that...

Excited that next week's will be a 90 minute episode.

Yup was thinking that the moment the episode ended. Nice play!!!

Good episode.

When the mob guy shot Diamond I was like fuuuuuuck....then it all started making sense with Juice.

Otto's scene was bizar and I loved it.

I liked Gemma coming to terms with herself and her emotions regarding Nero. Which leads to the question....if Juice gives up the info about Clay then what's the point of Gemma faking her way with Clay to get the info Jax needs? This one will be fun to watch play out.

Yeah I couldn't believe after all that The guy shot fucking Frankie Diamonds, I was pissed. especailly cause of the Juice angle but I get it. The key is actually going to be finding the stuff from Clay's safe. That's that smoking gun, and while I think Juice is going to lead Jax to Clay I think it's going to take Gemma to get the actual details. They find the birth certificates they have Clay by the balls. I hope for his sake he doesn't still have them, but who am I kidding I want him dead so I hope he does.

The scene with Otto... I'm not sure if I would call it bizarre but yet it was, but I get it I guess for a guy on death row, the scene I thought was bizarre was Tara's dumb ass at home with the perfume. Not needed. All the shit with Nero and the ashes... not needed. Lot's of filler shit in this episode. Some of the mob scenes... ect... Great episode, just wish they would have extended the important scenes like Juice with DIamonds and Gemma with Clay, and cut back on the other bullshit that turned otu to be filler... love birds... seriously?

okay just finished the latest soa episode.

shows starting to lose me now and my interest. there is just too many Damn plot lines now and i no longer care about anyone other than tig uncer and chibs. because they aren't all wrapped up in saturated soap opera style plot lines. tera now being in the position she is in might be the last straw for me. its become what i feared it would become.

sad really. not sure if ill bother anymore...unless the three characters i mentioned start a spin off series. bad writing now..q

It was a pretty boring episode, shits gotta start coming to a head soon. At least Pope finally made another appearance.

But yeah I agree too many goddamn side plots.

I personally liked the last episode... I'm just worried that the 90-minute eps are because they're going to take a break and not have anything new for a few weeks.

The scenes with Otto are so well done - they build this great tension that make it really hard to predict what's going to happen. Although Tara is freaking stupid for letting Otto have the crucifix with open hands. The scene also showed you just how clever Otto is - killing the nurse gets him a one-way ticket to Death Row AND it invalidates his RICO testimony.... and puts Jax in an uncomfortable place as the prison/authorities will almost HAVE to make those connections and her future career could just be screwed.

Compared to other shows (like the current season of Fringe), SOA still has it's intrigue in check.

Seriously, the latest season of Fringe feels like a video game - it's like, "we have to accomplish all these tasks to get rid of the Observers!!!" With that said, the last ep with the pocket universe was the best so far this year...

I am assuming correctly that the phone thing was just Rick hallucinating?

Agree with that. Brief break in his sanity. Carol is back. Situation with the Gov is getting interesting. Michone is a bad ass. Decent episode.

It was a decent episode. The Rick talking with Lori part dragged a bit but other than that it was a solid episode.

I didn't see the episode last night, but if they fucked up the phone thing, I can see why in how it played out here. In the books it was much better.

Anyone watching the documentary on PBS called "The Dust Bowl"?

THE DUST BOWL[background=rgb(46, 44, 40)] chronicles the worst man-made ecological disaster in American history, in which the frenzied wheat boom of the "Great Plow-Up," followed by a decade-long drought during the 1930s nearly swept away the breadbasket of the nation. Vivid interviews with twenty-six survivors of those hard times, combined with dramatic photographs and seldom seen movie footage, bring to life stories of incredible human suffering and equally incredible human perseverance. It is also a morality tale about our relationship to the land that sustains us—a lesson we ignore at our peril.[/background]

Its actually really good and the people interviewed who lived through it are really interesting.

I felt like Sundays ep of the TWD was a little boring... the exciting scenes were good but it just feels like it dragged WAAAAY too much.

And whoever thought Joel Madden should have been on the Talking Dead should be reprimanded... he was pretty fucking awful and it seemed like he really didn't watch the show.

I had only the 1st installment of the Govenor/Woodbury in the graphic novel. He captures Rick and Michonne at the crashed chopper in the graphic novel and promptly cuts off Rick's hand and rapes Michonne repeatedly during their interrogation. Then there is the whole creepy heads in an aquarium thing.... He seems a bit tamer on TV and more of pretty boy IMO. I need to download the next volume and start reading ahead again.
