No kidding! It's tough to have a decent, well reasoned discussion when these trolls keep trying to derail a thread by accusing people of being alts, etc.

This place was much better before the big ban lift.

Two teams in the bottom half of the espn power index actually won their divisions. Most teams in the top 10 didn’t make the playoffs. Almost half the teams in the playoffs came from the bottom half of the index.

3) You literally sleep? Odd thing to emphasize. I suppose it's better than sleeping metaphorically.

I remember being told on CCS "don't sleep on Jeremy Langford"...I took that to be metaphorical, tho

I think I'm going to change my mind on this after reading a lot of arguments for the "definitely a contender" side.

Honestly, I would say that the bears are a contender right now, and pretty much every team that did well last year is, and then there are teams that made big splashes in FA that are now in the contender convo, like the browns and maybe even the raiders with the draft coming up, maybe more because we have no clue how the draft might swing some poorer producing teams into actual superbowl contention. Also the coaching and culture changes.

I would say that more than halve of the test in the NFL should be considered contenders until they arent, especially with so many things that can make them better in the coming months.

I decided to go back and read this entire thread for more insight. It's not a long read if you weed out all of the obvious troll posts, altcusations and blatant sexism from Mitch and Leon. There are some really good points made for both sides. I can see how people came to the conclusion that most of the league, and even future expansion teams are currently superbowl contenders. I just dont think the bears fit into that caregory.

Agreed. Bears are definitely not a future expansion team.

Can we close this thread? I think I've been trolled enough by the troll gang here that just follows me around adding nothing of any substance when all I want to do is talk NFL football.

Thank God for the ban lift here. It disturbs me how anyone can say this place was better without dissenting thoughts and opinions. That's creepy as hell.

You aren't a SB contender if you don't have a quality kicker you can trust and you have a kicker named Blewitt.
