Truth of the matter is this: you CAN NOT call this team a "super bowl contender".. not yet, it's waaayyyy too early. Excellent point. Then last season they won playoff games and lost the SB, making them SB contenders this season.

Do you guys see how that works? Make the playoffs and lose, then make the playoffs and win, then become a SB contender.

I was giving examples of teams that played in the Superbowl, both winners and losers aka Superbowl contenders. Post #238 gives plenty of examples. 2006 Bears.
