It's painful to watch and I cry/whine with the best of them, but the Bears in about 2 or 3 years (barring injuries and major busts via draft), are going to have a team with amazing depth and talent. We will have a team that will be contending for several years.
What I saw today by patch work line ups, was pretty damn amazing and guys actually were trying to compete. Let's give Flus and crew some time. We may have something.
If you watched today's game in isolation, I could see how you could come to that conclusion. But, anything can happen any given Sunday. Just look across to league with the Texans going to OT with Chiefs, Jacksonville beating Dallas, etc.
That's not to say we can't be a really good team. But the defense, and in particular the DLine has been abysmal outside of today. It was a good gane for them today, but was it just a bad game for the Eagles? Did Flus have some inside knowledge of Siriani's scheme considering they both spent time in Indianapolis?
My point is that I have to see more consistent play to think there is a massive coaching impact. M I need to see guys stepping up and playing above their salary to think the coaches are getting the most out of their talent. Right now, the only impact I truly see from the coaching staff is the running scheme. But the frustrating part is that pass protection is equally as bad as the running scheme is good.
