He gets $1 million per win over 8 each season, otherwise minimum wage.

That could make him the highest paid HC in the NFL.

Throwing around that McCaskey cash.

People need to realize also that Fox didn't get to Build in Denver the way he wanted.

He had Elway above him going all in with big name high priced FA's, which has really never worked. Fox is all about building through the draft.

but how much power is fox gonna want?

Its not as much about power as it is about having the same vision as the guy above you. If he and Pace are on the same page Philosophically then there is no power struggle. That was the main problem in Denver.

It's the same logic with the cutler thing. Cut Jay cutler with no back up plan. Bear fans
I do recall the Seahawks moving on from Hassleback, who was actually getting them to the playoffs consistently, without much of a backup plan. 4 years later, here they are going for their second straight SB win.

They started Tavaris Jackson in 2011... Then signed Matt Flynn to a large deal and drafted Wilson in the 3rd. Wilson wow'd everyone in training camp and Matt Flynn became useless. Its one of those, you never know what may happen moments.

There must be a reason this isn't being announced. They supposedly talked numbers with his agent before the interview, so if the leak about his hiring is legit, why nothing official?

Saban to the Bears was all about done until Sweet Teddy wanted to pay Nick slightly above minimum wage.

The points against Fox have all been discussed over and over. Too conservative, not great at adjustments.... I am not thrilled with the hire but he will give the Bears a chance to truely assess the team. There are so many players right now that all of us are scratching our heads about, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Does this guy suck or was he put in a bad position over and over or just not held accountable for lack of disaplin. Fox will have the players disaplined and in position which will allow for true evaluation. But I believe that will be the extent of his contributions. He will not get the most out of his players. He won`t scheme to hide weaknesses of players. It`s straight up ball with Fox. He will go as far as the roster will take him which hopefully will be some consecutive playoff runs. Then maybe we will be in the Bronco`s situation which would be a welcome change if Pace has the balls to pull the trigger on Fox when the time comes. If the Bears are going to win a championship with Fox, Pace`s drafting and free agent pickups will have to be absolutely top notch.

Anybody know Fox`s record against Green Bay?

So they got lucky...
Every team needs luck to succeed. They saw something in Wilson... for a 3rd round pick and grabbed him. They got lucky he's worked out so well, yes. Patriots got lucky a 6th round pick, Tom Brady, worked out soo well too.

And the St. Louis Rams are lucky they had a grocery bagger as their backup QB in 1999 when Trent Green was lost to injury in the preseason. So you never know what may happen.

In our case, we know what will happen with keeping Cutler here.
