it's a 7th grader approach to vote personalities over policy.
Even if one personality happens to be narcissistic disorder combined with ethnocentrism and admiration of authoritarian rule?

Per King Roger

If teams have a covid outbreak of unvaccinated players they will likely be forced to forfeit and neither team will gets its weekly check (that's how nfl pays its players)

Anyone ask him what the penalties/policy is if:

Some or all of the players in the outbreak have already been vaccinated? Does the team still forefit and do none of the players get paid?

Probably a moot point since Sleepy Joe just gave us more misinformation.....errr.....facts that vaccinated people can't get covid.

Hmmmm, he must have missed those true threats to democracy....errr...Patriots from Texas who skipped out on their state legislation duties to hop on a plane last weekend, unmasked but vaccinated, yet somehow multiple got covid anyway.

What is this nonsense ? As I read through this thread its clearly a situation for some of these comments of

Better to Remain Silent and Be Thought a Fool than to Speak and Remove All Doubt

The NFL policy was the same as last year nothing has changed only that there is a vaccine now .

The other thing is this a vaccinated player will get tested every 2 weeks and even if they test positive they will have minor symptoms and can test out within days( case in point the Bulls' Zach LaVine who tested positive Sun/Mon and was able to rejoin the Olympic team in Tokyo by Friday ) .

The unvaccinated players will get tested everyday and since they are unvaccinated a positive test is an immediately minimum 14 day quarantine which now you could forces the cancellations of not one game but two .

The NFL has said that if a team is fully vaccinated they will incur no penalty if there is a forfeit and they will make the sure the team and players are taken care of financially .

The issue is there are too many teams with low vaccination rates and as such they were reminding players of what the actual agreed upon rules are . If Im not mistaken players still could've opted out this year due to Covid just like Goldman did last year so there is no reason for any of this foolishness from from players .

If you wanna play get vaccinated if you dont trust it sit out and wait a year

Biden is a corporate democrat idk why conservatives wouldn't vote for him - he's like a 90s republican.
the 90's republicans had terrible policy ......I just don't think the Trump haters understand, it's not that people are dumb buffoons who like the orange man, it's that they hate Republican and Democrat policy and can see the corruption, I hate Nancy Pelosi's guts, I also hate Mitch McConnell's guts...this is what you all aren't getting

Trump showed you the corruption of the political elites on both sides of the aisle and of the media, and some of you are actually cheering for the elites, who don't give 2 shits about you.....pls tell me who are the anti establishment rebels now? I feel like half of you watched Star Wars and rooted for Darth Vader

Wait..... so you think Trump is like some outsider non-elite who is better than these two?

You think Trump gives 2 shits about you?

I would say his policies were 60/40 bad, but his bad policies were very bad and any good ones were handled ham handed. You can not simply ignore his tendencies towards corruption, white supremacy, dollars over environmental destruction, coddling of murdering dictators/royalty, encouraging of election interference, deaths related to his political decision to downplay this pandemic, and desire to and success with dividing the country.

Short of being able to nominate and confirm anything more qualified than a potato for the Supreme court with the Republican led Senate as long as it was conservative what exactly to he achieve?

If people stopped thinking in terms of tribes whether they be (R) or (D) we could communicate much better
After reading the posts in this thread I can say it goes much deeper than that.

I got news for you - Trump is the ultimate elite. He's a born rich Manhattan tycoon/socialite who was a Democrat until he wanted to get into politics on behalf of his Russian creditors and realized that uneducated white people were much easier to fool with nationalist populism and xenophobia.

If you think Donald Trump gives any more of a shit about you than Nancy Pelosi does, I don't know what to tell you.

one thing I have noticed is that party ideologies have shifted over time and the party in the minority rails against authoritarianism and the party in power has zero problem inflicting their will when they think they have power "for the good of the people". It goes both ways and many people are in lockstep with whatever the prevailing D or R in power says...

I just read a cnn article yesterday that said “bipartisanship was dead, and that’s a good thing.”

If true, this country is DOA. Each party will use their 4-8 years to tear apart everything the previous administration did, only to have it repeated to them once they leave office. No chance for the country to move forward with common sense initiatives, just spinning our wheels while the Pols claim a “mandate” from the most recent election…

Its all about power.

The party leadership wants to maintain their grift. They want to stay in power and want to secure their power base by portraying the opposing party as enemies of the people. They will take any event, any outlier, and use it as a battlecry of why they need complete authority.

Political parties are radicalizing citizens. And in turn political parties are using that radicalization as a reasoning for why they should have complete, continued authority.

as this is not the right forum for this, and its Friday, I'll step of my soapbox.

I still don't understand how there are some that don't see this. I do not like any of the leaders of our institutions Pelosi, McCarthy, Shumer, Mitch as they are all career politicians who view getting reelected, and consolidating power as their job, and have no real intention of instituting change, nor do any of them actually care what the American people want. Obstruction and blaming the other side when they are in power are their only real strategies and it hurts everyone.

But Trump is on a whole other level. He is the most spoiled, egocentric, unethical blowhard out there, and he always has been and has never apologized nor tried to hide it. Yet, there are people who still think he has their best interest in mind, and he is privately disgusted by the same people....it is something I'll never fully get my head around.
