It is nearly 100% effective in making sure that you will not be hospitalized if you do get the virus though.

This is a New England Journal of Medicine article published two days ago. If you don't know, it is the most important journal for medical studies. The conclusion of the study was the Pfizer vaccine worked as well for the Delta variant as for the initial strains of Covid.

First off, your reading skills are shit. The 35ish is with one shot - just slightly less than the effectiveness of one shot against the previous strain. It's over 88% or 67% (depending on Pfizer or Moderna) effective with two shots, so the entire premise of your last paragraph is rendered dumb, and it's a great example of how misinformation gets spread by retards who are unable or unwilling to read. And the conclusion you draw from those incorrect facts is even dumber.

It's simple: the chances of having a bad outcome from covid are hundreds of times greater if you are not vaccinated, and many hundreds of times greater than having a bad reaction from the vaccine. You are also far more likely to pass along any strain of covid if not vaccinated.

Ergo, it's objectively dumb to not get a vaccine shot, and most people who didn't get a vaccine did not so for reasons unrelated to Joe Biden saying that you won't get sick if you got vaccinated.

Finally, variant is spelled with two As and no E. People who actually read about it notice these kinds of things.

That is patently false. An Israeli study reported the 39% number against symptomatic infection but also said the vaccine is still over 90% effective against serious illness.

UK's studies have it at 80+% for symptomatic disease

The NEJM just released a report yesterday.
The study, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, confirms headline findings given by Public Health England in May about the efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines made by Pfizer-BioNTech and Oxford-AstraZeneca (AZN.L), based on real-world data.

Wednesday's study found that two doses of Pfizer's shot was 88% effective at preventing symptomatic disease from the Delta variant, compared to 93.7% against the Alpha variant, broadly the same as previously reported.
