Well, this thread has gotten completely derailed by the usual suspects.
This is of course good news for Kane and the Blackhawks (if true). Unfortunately, plenty of damage has already been done - right or wrong.
It will be interesting to see if a civil case is brought up against Kane. If it is, I fully expect a quick resolution and Kane will be out some cash, whether he did it or not, whether he played any part in it or not, etc. Sometimes, it is just best to make things go away and ensure that they can't be brought up again. Similar to how a company that wants to sell will usually take care of any lawsuits immediately, so they can simply move on, get on to the next step, and get where they want. People will think that if it gets to that point and if Kane pays to make it go away that he is guilty...but that certainly isn't the case.
