I was determining how to handle having my case be called similar to this one by Bearing Down, and nobody defended me.

Age of consent is 17, so this girl must be 15/16.
The problem i have with meeting a girl at a bar who has a fake id, is there are trained professionals at the door who look at ID's for a living.
If its good enough to deceive them, does the legal system really think I or you have a better chance to spot a fake, while we are drinking?

this is an overview of statutory rape laws. It specifies what happens if you are 13-15, you are allowed 4 years older. However, I wish it talked about 16 as that must be what we are dealing with.
Sucks that the dad was a lawyer but it gives me some hope.
The greatest hope for Kane right now is..
1) the girl was 17
2) the parents flipped out on her for getting home late...where were you etc
3) She lied and tried to deflect saying she doesn't know what happened maybe it was a drug
4) they pressured her into a rape kit
5) when shit comes out the story will change a bit or she admits consent at some point.
But then again the Dad could be thinking about millions right now and taking justice from Kane that way.

The only real answer is you actually get to know the girl for more than 2 hours before having sex instead of just going for the hook up. If that's not your interest then the risk is in your own hands. Law clearly states what is and isn't acceptable.

Again, nobody has any facts at this time. There has been rumors it's a statutory case, and others that it's just rape. There's also speculation it wasn't even Kane but maybe one of his buddies who did it at his house, as the police have said the incident happened at his residence.
