And here is
Those oops should be costing them a suspension and or 10 Grand fine. That should help cleanup the dogshit that is NFL officiating recently.
The other issue goes down the road of was that it was a 14 point game and all of a sudden it was flipped upside down. I’m just going to say years in the future I could almost guarantee we hear of a Donaghy style story when it comes to the officiating for the NFL.

7 flags. 1 drive. Lions get ball back. Lions score touchdown. flags stop. this isn't some kind of message you need a secret decoder ring to figure out.

Football is not for the weak. You might like figure skating.

Wow, what a highly intelligent retort. The Bears have been screwed now multiple times this year. Game is basically over if that interception stands. The receiver hurt his leg and the official standing five feet away magically saw something. Another game changing call that goes the way of the other team. I’m sure you’ll be really happy in a couple of days when they say, oops our bad.
do officials blow calls. of course they do, but to claim there is a vendetta is childish

The game started to flip when Detroit wasn’t called for PI on Kmet by the sideline. Bears were up 14 and it should have been first and ten around the Detroit 35.

There is no vendetta. The NFL would be much better off with powerhouses in all the major TV markets. I think a number of these guys just aren’t good at their jobs.

There were numerous holding calls on the Bears but miraculously Detroit doesn’t hold at all. Take a look at the long completion in the 4th quarter to 84 on Detroit. Their RT is absolutely mugging Gipson, but no call.

These guys have to be better and consistent. I’ve been harping on the need for an Eye in the Sky Official for awhile.

It’s unacceptable for a league that generates billions of dollars in revenue to be this bad at officiating their sport.

I still think it's fixed. all the promotion for gambling apps, I think that's like morally wrong for a professional sport to be that big of sellouts for the advertising. Goodell's tenure has corporatized the shit out of the league. we have robots in Amazon factories, we need robot refs now!

Maybe vendetta isn’t the word, but there seems to be some sort of agenda. I could name you at least 15 horrible calls from the past two years at the top of my head. I know they aren’t good one bit, but you can’t have a league that is married to gambling be consistently blowing calls against one team and then just apologizing days later.

You can call me weak or soft all you want, but if that interception stands the game is over. For hell’s sake, the guy hurt his leg off the jump. It was pretty obvious even in real time. I don’t know how someone standing five feet away can’t see that.

Plain and simple this is what it is. It’s the main reason why they won’t revamp the officiating system anytime soon

what do you mean the Bears exposed them? it was plain as day Claypool was getting sandwiched between 2 defenders and it was a PI no call. even non-fans were saying that was bullshit. DOLPHINS FANS were saying it was bullshit.
Exactly that, that it was so blatant that they got exposed by us fans in tweeter and social media. i Thought I was using exposed correctly.

If you read Donaghy's book, he did hint to refs in other sports being the same as the NBA. What was so damning, about that book, is he went into detail on how each ref made calls to affect games. AND THEY'RE STILL DOING IT!!

TBH... like it or hate it, I'll probably stop watching when they take the human element out of it.

It's already becoming annoying with all of the gambling and analytics. I want to watch a sport, not a corporate business venture\theatrical production.

First, no crying- I’m laughing that the Lions think this win is beneficial for them. Neither team is going anywhere. If we can get near the QB territory we can get a goldmine in the draft.

But anyway, it is pretty obvious the league has some sort of vendetta against the Bears, and I’m not sure why. Last week, Pittsburgh game from last year, whatever this was, and so on.

What is 115-year old Virginia doing to piss off the league?

This team traded away its two best defenders and now they can't stop teams from scoring. That's not a vendetta.

The vendetta also did not miss an extra point or throw a pick six on Sunday. Let's not blame the Bears losing on anything other than the Bears.

I welcome the refs bullshit this year. Make it harder for us to actually come out of there with a W!

I did, but I’m confused why that even matters in the first place in this discussion? You keep deflecting to other things. I’m fully aware the team stinks, but they clearly have been on the wrong side of some egregious, game-changing calls the last few years. I’m sure you’ll tell me again how football isn’t for the soft and that this isn’t figure skating. You must have suffered too many concussions playing said football.

They aren’t good, fully aware of that- but again, if that interception stands, the game is essentially over. Let’s see how many weeks in a row the NFL has to apologize for egregious errors.

And let’s be honest, that entire drive was three straight penalties on at least two atrocious calls.

You people are funny like I don’t know the team is terrible- but it doesn’t excuse game-changing calls that consistently go against them.
