I'm a sucker and broke down and bought a PS4 online via BestBuy today. Should be here in a few days. I know I should've waited, but sometimes I can't help myself.</p>

what titles are you looking to get for it?  I noticed gran turismo 6 came out for ps3 (i assume ps4 as well) with little or no fanfare.  which is wierd considering GT5 nearly took the entire life of the damn console to release and had a big marketing push.</p>

Actually, I don't believe it did. I think that they are still working on that version.</p>

Yep, GT6 was PS3 only. It's definitely not enough of an improvement from GT5 for me to get it. I was pretty surprised to see it for PS3 with no immediate future release of a GT game for PS4. It will probably be a year or more before there will be another release.

Drive Club and Need for Speed are supposed to be the PS4 racing games of this gen, but Drive Club got delayed. I think Need 4 Speed is dual console, and their may be one other thing out there I"m not sure. I guess Forza came out with a crazy microtransaction system that they already had to revamp.</p>

So far I think the launches have been pretty even, I'm still partial to PS4 because well I am, but I think if they could have hit all their launch games like Drive Club and Second Son they would have been much better off. That was really their only misstep that I saw so far.</p>

Battlefield 4 just came out?</p>

My suggestion though because I have found people can be picky, is go look at their titles and see if they have a series that they have the most of like Call of Duty or Battlefield or whatever... and then get them the latest of that if they don't have it already. Some people who play COD hate Battlefield and Vice Versa for some reason. I can play them all no problem. So you don't want to be the guy bringing the turkey to the Vegan party.</p>

As for BF4 it is good on the PC for what it is.</p>

Does he have the Gears of War games? That might be a good choice too. You can get the first 3 in a triple pack for about $30. Not really a military shooter per se, but it's fun as hell.</p>
