I have to be honest so far I'm very unimpressed with RDR. I still haven't given up on it, maybe I have to get a bit further in but so far I get bored with it quickly. But on the other hand i couldn't stop playing GTAIV or Vice City, or San Andreas. I wish I could explain why, but I can't I just seem to get bored extremely quick in RDR.
You have the option to skip the whole frontier parts, cause the world is LARGE. Just set up your campsite and travel wherever.
I prefer the hunting parts of it. I can make money for my shotguns/new horses/whatever. I even shot a bird today... Just to let you know, you're better off not wasting bullets for the amount of money they give you, unless you're lucky enough to get a Hawk. Hawk feathers are $6 per, and you can get 4 per.
I still haven't had the chance and sit there and log a couple hours at once on the game. So really it is just my initial impression. I wish I could remember I felt so bland towards GTAIV when I bought it. Who knows might fall in love with it when i get into the game.
