So I don't know if any of you even have this on your radar, but my best friend and I use to play the shit out of Syndicate for PC way back in the day. It wasn't a big budget game or overwhelmingly popular but it was pretty sweet in the story and what it did. They are remaking it into a first person shooter (Which I hope doesn't kill it because before it was more of a 3rd person unit strategy type game) and it comes out on the 21st. It's got 4 player co-op online and such so I think we are both going to get it to play co-op and just wanted to throw it out there for any of you that have heard of it or played it. It is EA now so they probably have killed it but maybe it's still got some of it's charm left.

I know of the original. I'm paranoid EA will **** it up.

But has anyone heard about the XCOM RTS that was in last month's gameinformer. After ME3 and D3 that is my next I'm giddy as a school girl game.

You can only hope it doesnt get duke nukemized. If that game sold any copies it was on the myth and legend alone, for what ive heard it is one of the worst shooters ever made.

1.) Railroad Tycoon II Platinum (made in 98 and I still play it)

2.) Ghost Recon (I will never be as good at a shooter as that one)

3.) L.A. Noire (I love the noir style)

4.) Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (That game, Cheetos cheese puffs, and my best friend)

5.) Road Rash II (Always laughed my butt off whenever I beat up a cop)

6.) Mass Effect series (yeah I'm gonna love 3 as well)

7.) Heavy Rain (It is like playing a movie)

8.) ToeJam & Earl (game was just fun)

9.) Madden '93 (All Maddens have sucked since then)

10.) Batman Arkham Asylum (Such a better game than the sequel)

The more I think about it, the more I don't think you can really compare the two - one was a straight-forward action/adventure game with a tight linear story... the other was an open-world format that STILL told a good story and many smaller stories if you felt the need to hear them.

Also for my list, honorable mention for Bubble Bobble.

I've had some long arguments over those two games. The story to Arkham City was good but I hated the open world part of that game. In a batman game I want linear. My biggest gripe is the main story is too short. Most of the side quests are annoying to me, like the Zsasz one.

I liked the Zsaz sidequest. I've only played Arkham City, but have been told Asylum is a lot better.

Didn't you already ask this? There was a hole discussion earlier in the thread?

You're biggest gripe is that the story was too short? Arkham asylum couple probably be beat start to finish in like 25 minutes. That was even shorter. It might as well have been a setup story to Arkham City.

Arkham Asylum took me a lot longer. I struggled with a lot of the bosses and hell the Poison Ivy fight took me a few days. The final battle with joker too awhile for me too.

You might be right but Asylum offered more of a challenge and extended the gameplay for me while City didn't offer much resistance so I beat it in two days and really have zero interest in dicking with the side quests. It will be a Gamestop trade in while I still keep Asylum.

I'm done with Assassin's Creed... I don't me Revelations (as I have finished that one too) I mean the whole fucking series, what a complete waste of fucking time and space. I wish I could destroy the entire fucking company. I'm now on board with boycotting Ubisoft, I want my fucking money back. I apologize to anyone who I suggeted these games to. They were fun. I thought they were going somewhere, but in the end they are fucking worthless and not worth the time. I just finished the my 3rd game, the 4th in the series and they suckered me. I thought this would finally be the one, the one that has a point. Nope... after 3 games I'm not further into a story then before. The entire point of the game is just to move the story into you getting the next one. Which I will not be buying. All 3 games I have bought now are about .5 games worth of real actual story. I was confidant that they would get to the point finally in this one and make it all worth it, but nope. **** THEM I'm done. Ubisoft is banned.

On a brighter note, I get syndicate tomorrow. It should be fun, my buddy pre-ordered it too so I encourage anyone else on here to give the co-op beta a try. It's very limited but I found it entertaining. It was hard to get used to without any proper instructions but I'm hoping once I jump in to the single player and learn how to play that the co-op will be even better. It's a very class oriented team play from what I can remember.

So I got Dead Island last night. Played it for about 30 minutes. Seemed to be more interesting than the L4D series. Upon purchasing on the PC I discovered it is a console port.....fucking joy.....if I knew that I wouldn't have bought it. The controls are...rough but I can look passed that. My problem is the game doesn't tell me where I have to go for the main quests so I'm just wandering around. Which means I'm running around breaking weapons non-stop while trying to find the right place to be. There is no real quick walkthrough on how to play the game. Which honestly, every game needs, sorry it just gets you going.

Currently I'd score it 4.0 out of 10 but I think the score will increase as I play it more and figure some stuff out since right now it is nothing more than a wander around and kill zombies game.
