I have no idea on how much sway he does/doesn't have with Poles decisions. I'm totally cool with a full house cleaning though. Too many whiffs collectively to keep the same people around w/o any positive results.

If they interview others and he's the best choice, cool. My personal preference is that I'm not really a fan of internal promotions when lacking in success.

Your reasoning is ridiculous tbh. Dude was a scout for the Ravens and a director of player personnel in Philly, which is why people are high on him to begin with. Not to mention the assumption that all of Poles' decisions are a direct reflection on him. Doesn't mean he's any good, but considering the guy is being interviewed for GM jobs and highly considered around the league, and the rumor that he wanted to fire Flus last offseason, is enough for me to think he'd be better than Poles.

Poles leaving would be ideal at this point. Free agent signings have largely sucked. He's hit or miss on trades - either wins it or drastic overpay that bombs out. Despite top tier draft pick positions, he still hasn't hit on an obvious star. DLine and OLine still largely suck 3 years in. Plus the most damning is keeping Flus and repeating the same failures all in the name of 'continuity' while overestimating the roster's quality when they've largely played garbage ass QBs to get the 14 wins in 47 games.

Most importantly, Warren is at the top, so let him pick a GM and coach that are aligned and came in together knowing where the QB and roster situation are at. Finally do things in the right order. Another lame duck year of Poles with a new head coach gets them nowhere. He hasn't done well enough to deserve it and the coaching staff, even outside of Eberflus has been horrendous. Poles seems to have no network in the NFL .

Whatever you think of Poles, I would say I strongly disagree with the comment "he made this bed".

He was hired ti run the football operation. They hired Warren to run the business operation, primarily to get a stadium deal done. Warren has made little progress on that front, and in typical McCaskey fashion, they now have the business guy over football.
