Is there anything in this organization that is not dysfunctional? Those who keep saying how this is the best head coaching job available this upcoming offseason, give me a fugging break. This organization does nothing right, period. Coaches with options will only come here if Georgie Jerk off begs then overpays, not likely. We will end up with someone completely off the radar, then its the cycle all over again

If we don’t get this right, it could realistically cost us Caleb Williams. This franchise is a joke.
If I'm Caleb Williams, going into my second year with my third playcaller, and having absolutely no assurance that the offensive line is going to be fixed I'm worried about getting Tua'ed.

100%.

As for Poles' "feelings" should this report be true--I don't care. He made this bed. Time to lie down in it. He had 3 years to turn this team into something. And now, after 3 years--the only thing he has to show for the team he built results-wise is a team worthy of a top 10 pick in the springtime draft.

He was supposed to be the 'OL guru' and he failed, comically and exponentially. He built the team trenches last and now we still are wondering why with all these WRs who can get 'separation' when there's no desired results. He has the dead last OL in the league, 26th year 2, and right now the bears' unit is again bottom 10. I see the trend, but much of this fanbase will stick their heads in the sand.

You need a guy who will do the unsexy thing, and invest in the trenches. Fans won't like it, but unfortunately, these are the part of the fanbase I'm targeting that have to get smarter, because I do believe with the money-loving McCaskeys, that they DO want to appease the part of the fanbase that gives them more $$$. The same people cheering for WR3 with a top 10 pick in last year's draft.

There are already posters on this board suggesting the Bears should take another WR in the first round next spring. Some suggest Safety should go high, too. It's nauseating and stupid, and it still won't fix a bottom OL in the league for three years straight. Having even 1 impact IOL even with 2 OTs I'm highly critical of next year will make a tremendous difference--and the unwillingness from bears fans for that makes me no longer question why this franchise has been irrelevant since 1985.

The case for pure incompetence can absolutely be made.

He gave Caleb more or less the same OL as Justin so he clearly doesn't have a fucking clue. If you like uneven QB play - pair a young, raw QB up with bad OL play and a defensive HC.

Now you have Poles who's seat is deservingly hot - paired up with a new HC who's going to be expected to win right away with a young QB in the toughest division in football. The clear thing was to pair Caleb with a new HC last off-season to reset things and build this year.

But firing Poles only puts Caleb in a worse spot. Where a GM/Coach can do shitall for his development like Poles did for Justin and just throw him to the wolves and when he doesn't "make it" reset the clock again in two years. Absolute garbage org.

Silvy really wants to be important…. so much so that he is quickly developing a reputation as the guy who creates false narratives to drive clicks and views.

If I was CW father I’d find the best lawyer I could find to figure out some way to get my kid the hell out of this shit hole know as the McCaskey Bears.

My god this woman and her sons have turned this organization into complete shit show and a national joke. They have got to be the most hated owners in all of sports.

Well guys like Jerry Reinsdorf and Donald Sterling exist.

Probably need to get Ginny's thoughts on the Civil Rights Movement and maybe that causes a forced selling of the team.

The Bagent stuff had others reporting on it (Schefter, Breer, Rapoport) and he's literally the dude doing the halftime show for the team.

He doesn't need to fake report on things - his job is pretty freaking safe.

The difference between those owners and the McDisgustings is. Those guys bought the right to be a-holes to their fan base. The McDisgustings were gifted this right. Which makes them the worst.

I haven’t researched any of these guys but I would look at teams that have drafted well recently and try to hire whoever directed their college scouting departments. It’s all about drafting well in my book.
It's so much more. Developing late picks (inside OL), FA signings, coach hires etc etc. A big part of this team's issues are coach hires, trades like Claypool and signings like Davis.

Some of you idiots fall for this shit every time... The media is the Mean Gene Okerlunds that creates the narrative for the heals and heroes in the story...

For the slow learners out there: In the end the Heals and the Hero's go back to the locker room and laugh about how stupid the fans are...

- So now, after almost 2 years since Warren was hired - Poles is pissed about reporting to Warren...<<2 years >> And somehow nobody knew before now

Funny they emphasized in Hard Knocks about the 2 working together - One scene in particular working on the Judon trade...

"I'm sure somehow the Chicago media would resist and never pile on during a time of crisis"

The guy who has been involved in every move for three years? Genius!!!

This is the equivalent of the backup QB always being better.
He's assistant GM. Do you expect him to quit when poles does something he doesn't like?

Maybe so but the only reason anyone wants him was because of a Hard Knocks clip. None of us know what moves he did or didn’t advocate for do we?
Well, no one chatting it up here has a clue if he’s good or not. It doesn’t matter what we think or say, but people have liked him way before Hard Knocks. He’s interviewed for jobs and we’ve been talking compensatory picks for some time. That’s not a Hard Knocks thing.
