What a way to finish it. Fucking huge game from Kaner. Toews made a great pass on that last goal too. On to the Bruins.... which is going to be MUCH harder than this.

Monster game from just about everyone. Was really impressed with Oduya and Rosival. I like that the 4th line was getting some announcer love.

Boston should be the toughest nut to crack--Detroit will look like a high school chess club compared to them. I believe we can elevate our game though.

Really, everyone played well, regardless of those that want to hate on Toews... He had a really strong game. He opened up the ice for Kane, bigtime, even if he's handling the puck like a hand grenade. Toews and Kane need to stay together. That pass for the one-timer to finish it was a thing of beauty. Kaner was big game Kaner. JUST what we needed going into the SCF. Get these boys ROLLIN'!

Props to Oduya and Rozsival, who I thought played really well. Keith has been fucking great in these playoffs too. Him, Crawford, and Bickell have to be in the Conn Smythe conversation. For the Hawks anyways.

Disagree on Toews having a great game. He had a great OT..through regulation he wasn't that good. On the offensive end anyways. Again defensively he never has issues. Its no coincidence that when he starts worrying about the officiating and yelling at them too much his offensive game suffers...and it seems to carry through the team sometimes.

When he buckles down and focuses on what he should focus on like in OT his game elevates up front. I like when Toews takes shit into his own hands like he did with Big Joe in the reg season instead of yelling at the officials like he was doing through 3 periods of this game (and CBC showed it a lot not sure what NBC shows). He took charge in OT. That's the Toews we need against the Bruins.

Can't be mad though with a win. Just don't blow a 3-2 lead with 9 seconds left in the finals please!! That shit happens to every team but **** is it ever frustrating.

Good OT game Craw. Lets see how the critics nail you against the wall when you face Rask. We all know they won't stop yet.

Obvious hyperbole is obvious.

Q has really righted the ship since the Detroit series with his adjustments. That said, his refusal to see that Kompon is a fucking drooling imbecile when running the PP is still inexcusable to me.

He had a couple poor offensive decisions, but right now, he's in his own head more than anything. You can tell he's hesitant to shoot because of how snake-bit he has been. As a result, he's looking to pass the puck every time it touches his stick. Worked out OK on the last play though. I don't care if Toews isn't scoring if he continues to make great setups like he did on that game winner, and the pass to Kane on the wide side that just missed.

The Kane Sushi shit is making me laugh.

Bickell said he was eating sushi before each game thats why he has been scoring. He bought Kane Sushi before game 4 of this series. After he scored in game 4 (on Bickells actual goal)..Bickell skated up to him yelling "SUSHI"!!!!

Interviewed after the game tonight while being asked about his 3 goals Kane with a huge smile on his face said "I ate sushi again"

Stupid...but i live these kind of stories in hockey.

They certainly opted to take the hard way to clinch a place in the finals. Good first but they let that momentum slip in the second and pretty much for the rest of the game. PP was shit as usual and the SHG didn't help that fact. Thought Crawford didn't really play that well on the two first goals, but hardly the sole reason for them. Toews had to win one face-off and he didn't and to OT it went. Glad to see Kaner have an excellent game, was really finding the puck out there and causing trouble. Just in time for the finals. Toews getting a couple of helpers was nice too, but like to see more out of him. And the yapping needs to stop, concentrate on winning the battles and get some pucks to the net, between the whistles shut up and get ready for the next shift.
