I just want to remind people how amazing this is. Just a few seasons ago I saw almost every game in a season which the Hawks earned 59 points. Now they are in the Finals. quite an acheivement.

When Versteeg scored the ENG, my wife looked up from what she was doing and said "Don't cry hun. I know how emotional you get over this stuff." Was too late I already was.

Kane was a man possessed on that last PP and nice work drawing penalties tonight. Led all Forwards with TOI of over 22 minutes.

Duncan Keith's man card just got upgraded to Triple Platinum. Wow.

When the Sharks had the lead and went to a more conservative gameplan, Soupy showed that same skill in gaining the zone with his skating and puck movement that was so critical against Vancouver last year.



These guys are Jedis and JT is the Jedi Master. Their level of focus is almost unnerving... but leave it to Versteeg and PK to add some levity to the postgame interviews.

DAMN STRAIGHT. Still got almost 100 ticket stubs, 90% of which were $8 tickets to see one of the worst teams assembled in pro sports. Yet those games were still awesome. I recall coming home and checking the attendance every night and if were above 12k we would look around and go, "solid crowd". Watching Todd Simpson, Bell and Calder saucer pass warm up, wow that team sucked.



Even at the Toews goal game, and Kanes first career goal there was about 11k in attendance. Sharp also had a goal, and that was about when everything went from rock bottom to this moment. So fucking sick. This team is awesome, every last guy.



Can't wait til the feeling sinks in that were actually in the GOD DAMN STANLEY CUP!!!
