Barely any of them smiled... I read Toews lips when asked to hoist the Campbell Trophy, "thats not what i want". No smile, no smirk... Our CAPTAIN (the best in the NHL) has his eyes on the prize.



Niemi was asked how he felt on sweeping the Shark in the WCF... his reply? "Oh well... it's just another series, and we have another coming up."



This team is not the team of last year... just happy to make it to the WCF... they could care less about that... they have their eye on FOUR MORE WINS!!!!!!!!!

I am so proud of this team right now that words can not discribe it. It really has not sunk in. I was just watching the ending in a daze. I looked at my brother in law and said is this really happening is this a dream, I remember just a few years back talking about what if, what if we could be on T.V, what if we just got a little better so we can smell the playoffs, what if we just competed and made the playoffs. If you told me three to four years ago that we would be in this position, I would be like your dreaming. with the old man running this team yeah right. all those thoughts rushed through me for that split second while I was looking at my brother in law. He was teary eyed and so was I, because of all those long, long years of suffering. Thank you God for such a wonderful and the most envied organization. I am also very proud to be a member of this great sight. I may have been a little over the board with some of my views about some plays or games, and most likely will still continue, but it only was for the love of this team. We have knocked over the door and lets go get the price that we so deserve. GO HAWKS!!

To be honest after watching the 2nd rebuild three years ago some of us would have said they'd win a Cup at some point. Actually in JT's second and Kanes first Prospect camp many of us sitting there knew this was going to eventually happen.



Surreal at the moment sure. Completely unexpected, not so much IMHO.



Tallon's best attribute was to draft and develop Character guys. Character + Talent = Championships.



4 more wins might just make that reality!

You know when the Hawks had 59 points I didn't know if they would ever reach this point. Who would have known when Dale Tallon was hired out of the announce booth how it would all change. After years of bad drafts and horrible signings it all clicked. Toews, Kane, Bolland, Buff, Hjalmerson, all drafted. Sharp stolen in a trade. Signing Niemi, even depth players like Sopel signed out of Wings camp, Ben Eager in a trade, Ladd in a trade. How about Versteeg for Bochenski. Amazing and now a team playing for a cup. :clap:

Agreed, me and Shoots he Scores said about 3 or 4 years ago that we'd win a cup in 4 years. Didn't expect to have THIS good of team though.

Good news about Ladd. Hope it's true. I want every cog for the Hawks going in the final.



Wow I'm still a bit on cloud 9 lol. Took a walk around the city tonight proudly wearing my Hawks jersey. Trying to soak in the reality that our boys are Stanley Cup Final bound!! It's been a hell of a ride this season and it's just about to get even more crazy!!



Was a nice walk around the city tonight also. Had a zillion Canuck fans approach and give their congrats to the Hawks. Rather surprised by the attitudes of most. Actually a lot of support here for the Hawks now lol. Lot's of "glad a good hockey team is representing the West" and "The best team in the West is in the final and they deserve it" comments. Not sure if I like the idea of Canuck fans cheering for the Hawks though lol.



Anyways..damn rights these guys deserve it. They give it their all this year. Had some huge ups and they came through some pretty rough stretches for the better. A well oiled machine right now and appear to be a focused bunch. I don't want the Flyers/Habs series to go too long. Maybe a Habs win to force a game 6. But that's about it. Don't want our boys sitting too long. Rest for a little bit, ice a few bruises and get back too it. The momentum for the Hawks right now is just too for it to have too much time away from the ice.



Lets go Hawks!!!
