Now that his golden boy is gone don't you think Bettman WANTS the Hawks to win, Mass? He doesn't like the Frenchies and the rioting that would happen in Montreal would be terrible press. He doesn't want to have to give the Conn Smythe to Danny Briere. Kane is American/Toews won Gold for Canada... of course he wants the Hawks to win.

Anyone else notice the idiotic NBC promo they've been showing on NHLN and Versus and NBC?



The one where they hilight all the Olympians and say "they played for gold"... then they cut to the playoffs and only show highlights of the Blackhawks/Flyers with a brief shot of a couple of the Sharks NOT ONE CLIP of the Habs. Mind you this aired yesterday before the Hawks beat the Sharks and I also saw it today.



Like the NHL already knows for a fact that it's going to be Hawks/Flyers. I know being down 3-0 and 3-1 respectively is a pretty good case to assume that... but the Habs have already come back from 3-1 down from a much better team and a team has ALREADY come back from 3-0.



I wouldn't dare air that commercial until everything was set in stone because the NHL is going to look pretty douchey if the Habs win the series.

4 more wins... it's finally hitting me, been listening to sports radio all morning... city is jumping. If the Hawks eventually hoist the Cup, I feel bad for you STH next year as there is going to be A LOT more bandwagoners at the UC than this year.



Furthermore, I'd like to say that you guys can thank me for this miraculous run as my booing of Huet on opening night got to him which in turn made Niemi our #1.

Huet, hahaha that was the first one to cross my mind! I don't think I predicted the flyers to WIN the cup, I know I predicted them to get there in some of the competition threads. I don't have the balls to jinx the hawks by petting against them. Hawks take flyers in 5 for the cup. Lose one of the games at home.

IKt's more a reflection on the fact that I've been drinking myself into oblivion since Wed. than it is my bandwagon status. I'm just glad I can even type at this point! I want the flyers to end it now so that we can get this fucking thing going.
