The determination and total team play yesterday, and in this series was incredible. Easily one of the best playoff series I have ever watched (regardless of the outcome).

Sharks played far better than to have been swept, but their 3rd/4th line talent just killed them along with the 'Hawks total team play. Kudo's to the Sharks for playing a pretty fair and not so cheap of a game ala the 'Nucks.

Paul, it was awesome to see the 'Hand shake in person. I have some picts from my angle that I will post when I get home from work.

This 'Hawk team wants it. No doubt about that!

OH, and here's a comment today from a San Jose newspaper --

Chicago used its primary assets — speed, quick sticks creating turnovers, a mysterious Finnish goalie and a talented big galoot named Dustin Byfuglien parked in front of the Sharks' net — to take advantage of scoring opportunities whenever those chances presented themselves.

Still hasn't sunk in yet.

Has to be a dream.
I've had the flu since last Sunday (finally broke today) so it literally feels as if I've been in a dream.
MH, I've been suffering from a herniated disc the past FIVE WEEKS....and laid up a lot of that time. Just now starting to get around more. So I've had not much else on my mind other than the HAWKS. With all my meds, perhaps I am dreaming?

NO EFFING WAY....STANLEY CUP FINALS, BABY!!!!
HELL YEAH, BABY!!!!

I had the Brandon/Windsor Memorial cup on as backround while surfing the web after yesterday's SWEEP, and at least twice they showed a Versus commercial promoting the Hawks/Sharks Western Conference finals (coming up) all this week. It made me chuckle.

Sorry to hear about your back. I help people get on disability benefits if they can't work anymore, and lower back problems are the number one cause, due to the severe chronic pain, of disability due to physical problems.

From The Onion:

SAN JOSE, CA—Baffled members of the Chicago Blackhawks reportedly scrutinized San Jose's logo Tuesday in an attempt to determine some logical reason as to why it pictures a ferocious underwater predator eating a hockey stick. "Sharks are primarily carnivorous, so it really makes no sense for them to suddenly introduce wood to their diet," said center Jonathan Toews, wondering how a hockey stick would wind up in the ocean. "Isn't a mascot animal supposed to be in favor of hockey? Why then would he ruin a good stick by biting it in half? Also, not to get too nitpicky, but San Jose is inland, so they don't have sharks, unless the shark is bursting up through the rink, which is just unrealistic and stupid." The San Jose Sharks were reportedly just as confused by the Blackhawks logo, failing to understand what a somewhat racist representation of a Native American had to do with hockey

Duncan was a warrior yesterday. I didn't think he would be back in the game and was worried how it would affect the rest of the series. I am amazed by him and his dedication.

The only thing that surprised me was that he wasn't wearing a cage when he came back. Probably thought he could do no more damage to it....

Either way, he wins that Sami Salo "Balls of Steel" award for the WCF.

I can't even imagine the pain he is in today, after the adrenaline left him last night. (Good thing the wedding isn't tomorrow)

I lost my front 4 bottom teeth in a pickup game.

Blowing out a tendon in my glove hand was childsplay compared to that.

On the radio this morning they said someone threw a shark head on the U.C. ice (about the size of a Pike) with R.I.P. written on it. I haven't heard any other mention of this. Did anyone that was there see that?

I read it somewhere. One of the staff that picked it up made a comment that he was taking it home with him.
