It was 2-0 going into the third of game 2 as well....so for the first 5 periods, Hawks were rather dominant

Let's see...

Down 2-1 to Nash, score short handed last 2 min to send to OT and win the game, series

Down 3-0 to Van...win 3 in a row and score SH to send to OT (yes a loss, but not a bad fight). Did this losing Seabrook/Bolland for 3 games...Bickell, Kopecky...John Scott was playing D

Down 3-1 to DET...come back and win series

Down 2-1 to Bos...win 2 road games in cup final - including scoring twice in the last 2 min

Down 2-0 to STL this year...win 4 in a row

2 Cups in 5 years. These types of experiences in the last 12 series...I'd like to think this team has gained some sort of character and will to win. But maybe that's not enough for such a dedicated loyal fan base. The still need to prove that they want to win as badly as the fans want them too

Well that theory only works if it's the same roster since 2010.

Can't blame fans for being disappointed. The Blackhawks raised the bar, along with the expectations, not the fans.

The core has been in place since then

No team has the same roster

So then I guess the Bulls were never a dynasty, or the Wings and their winning tradition, the Patriots....etc - since those teams all had changes to rosters as well

Raised the bar to what? They're in the Conf Finals for the 4th time in 6yrs

Down 3-1 to a very good LA team

Is the bar to must win the cup every year, and not lose a game the whole way through?

The Bulls kept the same roster basically and won three in a row, twice.

I don't believe that lessons learned in 2010 help this team one bit in 2014.

Perhaps last year's comeback against Detwat, as most of the same guys are in place.

Blackhawks fans, as they should, expect a championship every year.

There is no such thing as a moral victory.

The Blackhawk don't have the best player in the history of the sport playing for them. Kane and Toews also don't play 40 minutes per night like black mike did. If only fat mike would come back to coach the hawks. But now he's skinny Mike and probably has an nhl head coaching job already.

Toews, Kane, Sharp, Hossa, Versteeg, Keith, Seabrook, Hjarllmarsson, Bickell - all played on the team that year. Crawford I believe was around as well. I think Ben Smith was with Rockford at the end of that year and may have been called up, but was definitely with them the following year when they were attempting to come back from down 3-0

These are the leaders of the team anyways, and the ones that will have to step up as a group/core if they are going to win anything - so I'd say they've been through a little bit of adversity as a group and I have confidence if they play to their ability, they can win 3 games in a row.

Two of the last three are at home, so we if we hold serve at home, just need to win one on the road. Not impossible.

Team has zero drive right now. Also I think the team endurance sucks. We haven't played 60 minutes in a long time. We come out looking like world beaters in the first 10 minutes normally and then spend the rest of the game looking meh. Also on Versteeg yeah was not a fan of bringing him back and the more I've watched of him the more I don't want him. In 4 years he hasn't gotten any better.

With the shortened season schedule last year - playing one game every two days-- and later into June than usual and the expanded season this year, the Hawks have played more hockey, especially the 10 Olympians, than any other team in the last two seasons.

No worries...apparently you and I are the only two that think this team has some character amongst them. I'd hate to be in a must win game with some of these board members, that's for sure

We've only lost at home once in the playoffs and have won a road game in every series.

Is that a concern? Or a possibility?

I think you are in danger of caring too much about the opinions of board members about a hockey series.

Hey ******...I'm not stupid when it comes to winning money

I thought LA was going to win being that they're playing very well, healthier for sure, and a very good time. Plus, it's extremely difficult to go to the cup two years in a row - let alone win them. Throw in 2 very condensed seasons, sending 10 to the Olympics..it was a massive challenge. Doesn't mean I don't want the Hawks to win, or think they can't.

Nah...no danger or concerns...just a bit shocked at how fast people quit on a team sometimes or accuse the players for "mailing it in/not competing"
