The forwards can wake up any time.

As I stated in the other thread, it takes more than 1 goal by this extremely talented group of forwards to win a series.

Some of it is on Q

Some of it is on the forwards

Some of it is on the fact the Hawks cannot protect a lead

I want to see a breakdown of shot selections and seeing where the majority of the Hawks SOG are coming from.

[edit]

Found it
Game 2

Game 1

I'd rather have both of them playing so the bullshit excuse wagon isn't fired up on why either team loses/wins tonight.

Ohh no doubt. Berglund called in. We'll see, was just trying to generate conversation.

Just a reminder that Q has 706 more NHL ACTUAL coaching victories than anyone on this forum.

Are we also allowed to say that he has 510 more NHL ACTUAL coaching losses than anyone on this forum?

Yep, it's Q's fault Seabs took a dumb penalty after Bicks and let the Blues tie the game up. Just like it's his fault they let the Blues score with a few minutes left in the 3rd period of the first game to tie it up.

Would be nice of Kane, Toews, Sharp and Hossa did what they make MILLIONS of dollars to do.

Bitching about Bollig is pointless as he's playing his role on the 4th line. Having Handzus play the 2nd line is the only blemish I can see.

No question! While I think he is a madman and switching the lines like he does is crazy, he has 1200 games of experience vs zero here. Can he be critiqued? If you want... but watching 1200 games != coaching 1200 games.

He's not putting those forwards in the best position to succeed...

I didn't see the last game, but I thought the lines were decent. Sometimes you have have to play "line blender" when your team has to kill 9 penalties and your PKers are tired and need a rest, or you're looking for some chemistry.

Sometimes I think it's unnecessary to move the guys around so much, but it's work well the past 4-5 years. Can't say it ever hurt us.

"decent" huh? So you're good with Kane playing with Versteeg and Shaw? Two third liners playing with our most dynamic offensive player, who just came off a knee injury? Sure, makes sense. What better way to get him going... And you're good with Handzus centering Hossa and Sharp, who have also been ice cold this series? Two guys who had great seasons playing with Toews?

I mean, I don't even know what to say at this point. In most of your minds Q can do absolutely no wrong. The forwards are struggling mightily, and the FUCKED UP LINES are probably the single biggest contributor. I mean, we haven't once seen them play with the guys they played with MOST OF THE SEASON. It's fucking clownshoes.

The chemistry is already there. He just doesn't use it.

No, I think it is most people respecting the 1200 coached games over random mooks like us waxing intellectual on an internetweb forum.

I dont get it either. I, also think this is a bad idea to shuffle lines like a deck of cards. I, also have zero experience in coaching NHL teams.

Go back and read the posts about the lines and line matchups from last season in the Detroit series. The complaints are almost identical. His refusal to use common sense with the lines almost cost them the series... He adjusted in game five, and the Hawks turned the series around.

I think he is too stubborn and his ego is too big to just go with common sense when it comes to the lines. He wants it to all be about him and his genius.

Hawks still need to win game 4. This is smelling like a home ice series which could be the dagger in the Hawks for shitting the bed in the reg season since March. errrr and the injuries to kane and toews didn't help.

We will see. Series is so fucking unpredictable game in and game out.

Thank you captain obvious.... And while we're on the topic, I'll say that whoever wins game 4 wins the series.
