I actually had zero confidence once I saw what Q was doing to shake up the lines. I figured it would be a miracle to win tonight. Unfortunately, I was right.

Putting Bickell on Toews line sent the message that we needed a physical presence to protect Toews, so the Wings knew they were in Qs head too. And Handzus centering for Kane and Saad. WTF?
Toews six minutes in the Box in the second. I don't even have a comment for that.
Instead of just putting Toews between Kane and Sharp, creating a potent offensive line, Q fuckin' plays merry-go-round, duck--duck--goose, musical chairs, and blows up the lines instead of a little tinkerin' with the lines and the team blew-up good, real good.
And why didn't Saad get a penalty shot in the 3rd?

No doubt Q has been out coached..no doubts in that what so ever. But he can't be pointed at when the guys on the ice can't finish their chances. Two 2 on 1's tonight that were executed horribly. Kane continued to shoot short side about 3-4 times instead of being more patient with the puck (also resorted back to playing really shitty in his own zone this series..woooaaa dont slam on Kane though). Don't even want to talk about Hossa anymore. Sharp had his chances..same old shit. Bolland had a great chance..fucks it up. etc etc etc etc. Q's line generator was indeed fucked up but the guys on the ice had enough chances this game to win it. They didn't. They get a lot of heat also in my opinion.

As for Saad..in regular season that was a clear penalty shot. It should have been one and god knows I usually prefer a pp over a penalty shot but not with this freaking team. Pfffft dont get me started on Saad though.

Sad to say, only Frolik and Kruger had good games. For the rest of the team, it was all they could do to just dump the puck into the wings end. And they even struggled doing that most of the game.

Kane - impotent
Hossa - impotent
Toews - impotent
Sharp - impotent
I'm surprised we didn't take any too many men on the ice penalties. Nobody knew who they were playing with, was used to playing with them.
It was sad and pathetic. They looked lost. Toews yelling at the refs non-stop in the box. I wish he would've played with that intensity, too.
Toews passing to Stalberg when he has a direct line to the net against Howard - who is now residing in his cerebral cortex - instead of driving to the net and trying to score.
Entire coaching staff should be gone by Sunday.

We might be always be in the minority Pez but we have always held fast to our Q brings the clusterfuck meme! I am really in a state of shock here in the viscerally immediate just in terms of what has transpired on my screen the past 3 games, like I can not mentally reconcile this roster which is healthy and these results. It's going to take some time to get over the fan trauma of it all. No Chicago team has ever come back from a 3-1 playoffs deficit. I just can't feel an iota of optimism here. In this series, this horribly under-performing roster and especially it's expensive fucking CORE has just made it impossible to believe. I just don't know what to think right now. Normally I'd be like if any team could win 3-in-a-row it would be this year's Hawks and esp. because they're healthy but this team has just played the Wings in a way to make a person lose faith in their ability to fucking fortitude and to hockey!

If they can't pull off the playoffs miracle starting Saturday and are golfing soon then at this point I am praying that fucking regulation pts streak and reg. season leading-pace in a shortened season isn't what allows Q to be safe and that WTH, let Stan just fucking pick his own Head Coach almost 4 yrs into his tenure. . .ya know, like every other GM of every other team in every other pro sport would have been allowed by now? Can't hurt from my perspective. I said in a post several offseasons ago that I believed Hakws nation would rue this coaching decision and be brought sobbing to its collective knees just like COL and STL fans were. Just STACKED rosters that go NOWHERE. Lather, rinse, repeat. That doomsday prediction is coming to fruition IMO. But I feel his ass will likely still be safe but Kompon's trifling ass will be tossed. Grrrrrr.

The 2010 SC playoffs were an anomaly IMO---I still maintain my same belief that roster won IN SPITE of his clusterfuckery, . .and because of Scotty, heh.

I've been with you the entire time BJ. It's a travesty, to be honest. Such a waste of talent. Q might have been the right guy in the right place at the right time in 2010, but he's failed, failed, failed, the last three seasons. He doesn't know what to do with this team.

This game epitomizes absolutely everything that is wrong with Q.

Kane - impotent
Hossa - impotent
Toews - impotent
Sharp - impotent

For serious. I am SO fucking pissed and disappointed and disgusted with him right now. I assume he's healthy so this is inexcusable. And you KNOW he must be rolling all underwhelming under-performance for his #1 Fangurrrl Of All-Time! to wanna just kick him in his bubbles and bitchslap him awake,

The bolded I have always agreed with and given him credit for re 2010. I have always and still maintain that because he's a "player's coach" he is likely an ideal HC to coach a very young, very talented roster that needs to be calmed down and shown some direction---when they are in that finite mode where they are still impressionable. Beyond that point though? Pfft. His history with what could have been dominant mini-dynasties in the past has never instilled any faith in me.

Good Lord, they won with Sharp at 2C in 2010. In 2013 th teams still has no official 2C but DOES still have Sharp on the roster. Logic? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Ahahahaha! JINX! I was composing my post and you had posted yours and we were literally on the same goddamn wavelength about the idiocy re Sharp! LOL

Just makes no sense to me. I mean, they trot out a PP unit with Sharp, Keith, Saad, Hossa, Bickell, and Sharp is playing the point, with Saad playing center. I mean, what the **** is going on here?

Since 2010, the following guys have played 2C in front of Sharp.

Morrison

Kruger

Bolland

Kane

Handzus

Shaw

What????? Seriously, how are any of those guys a better option than Sharp?

And by the way, I don't disagree with either of you... i just felt like being an asshole.
