I pin this loss on Toews.   Say what you will about Q's coaching decisions, Rosie & Oduya stinking up the joint, or the anemic PP, but our captain, a $6.5M 1st line center with hardware cannot have a meltdown like a teenage girl on a reality show.</p>

Up until Toews 3 penalties in a row, the score was 0-0  after the 1st two the score was still 0-0.  The last one was the single blade of grass that turned the dromedary into a parapeligic--and the final 2 were penalties he knows better than to take.  After that, we let in an empty netter but during normal hockey play, we didn't let any in.</p>

In spite of the bufoonery being fairly equally spread amongst the players and coaches(Keith, Leddy, and the 4th line are the only bright spots IMHO), there was no fundamental change in any of the coaching staff's handling of the PK, nor was their any fundamental fuckup by the players on that lone goal.  The fuckup was Toews acting like a whiney ***** and taking those 3 penalties.</p>

Blame Q and everyone else for not digging us out of the hole, but Toews put us in the hole to begin with.  So yeah, I blame him. </p>

Had Toews been playing like Captain Serious, and not like a euro soccer player, chances are it would have been 0-0 going into OT.</p>

Red Wings scored with 1 second left in the second penalty. Not the third one. So not sure how that one would have left it tied. And that penalty was a joke. It was Abdelkader's own stick that hit him. And he went down like he had been shot. Then laughed about it on the bench. Toews is frustrated, but if the refs would take control of the play, it would not have gotten to this point. Red Wings are constantly interfering with Toews and Kane. No call. Zetterberg is getting extra cheap shots in without any calls. I would be frustrated too. Not saying he hasn;t played badly, because he has. So has the whole team. The PP is a total joke. They dump it and then can't beat the Wings to the puck. And the Red Wings are very aggressive on the player with the puck. These guys need to move it quickly from one side to the other to combat this. Get the Wings running out of position. Instead we try to make 2 foot passes to the next player that is covered already.</p>

I I can't believe his tantrums on the ice, All I was saying when I saw him ***** was, shut the **** up and play the game You fucken belong on the Nucks right now. I will bet anything they never spend more then 5 min of practice on the PP, cause with the talent this team has there is no other way to see it. Q should be let go, this season along with the entire staff, and you laugh about AV, but AV is alot bettter then Q is, I would really consider Ruff also. Any way. I took the flag down last night from the frustration, but put it back up this morning because I can't be that pissed off on the INDIANHEAD, he had nothing to do with the losses. I put it back up because, I have this feeling that we are going to explode at home, and carry this momentium to the Joe and win it in game 7...I REALLY believe we are about to see something historical here, call me crazy BUT the West has not had a 3-1 come back victory to win the series in a loooong time, I think we are going to see it happen.</p>

What I am saying is, you see that bitching to the refs in the media is not helping and makeing this worse, then act like the Captain that you are and try to get to the net like he did against Kronwall and drew the penality, not look like a duch and yell at the ref every time a Wings player hits you. BIgpete, your only defending him because he is a Hawk, I am sure you were cheering on Bolland when he was doing the same crap to the sisters or Thorton in 2010 right? dont be a hommer. Oh wow.  Holy conjecture.  You don't even know him, how could come out with those notions?</p>

Here are the facts: He is getting hacked, hooked, held, and slashed like no other captain I have ever seen.  The refs are ignoring the vast majority of those actions and only calling his retaliatory actions to the offender.  While that happens a lot in the NHL and everyone expects it, it doesn't make it right.  If the ref saw him slash Zetterberg, then he must have seen him holding his stick less than a second before.</p>

This has nothing to do with being a homer, I have always had a problem with the idea that the retaliation should be called.  For the record, I do not enjoy when some of our guys play like hacks.  Bolland certainly has walked the line before and I am not a big fan of it.  Cheap play is just that...cheap, no matter who does it.</p>

The league took major steps to eliminate the obstruction from the game, but every so often you get a crew who doesn't call it or only calls it one way.  This crew has been calling it against Toews for 4 games now.  I don't blame him for bitching about it.  I wish more players/coaches/GMs/owners were honest about the failures of the refs and league officials.  Maybe it would keep them more honest.</p>
