Can you care to name me what any of the coordinators Jay has played under: what they are currently doing? I'm not asking for "well, he's a coach killer!" I'm simply just asking what are those coaches doing now? Care to say?

And I for one was pissed when Martz got fired.

Pep Hamilton has done quite well for himself...he was v1 of Cutler's whipping boy

pro bowl voting is made up of 3 parts...coaches, players, and fans. so even if the fans didn't give him the vote, either his peers or the coaches don't think he is that good too in order for it to really prevent him from making the pro bowl

Also, he really hasn't done that well in Chicago...he's been quite mediocre, maybe if he played at an above average level the fan-base would hate him less

meh id say he has been somewhere around the 13-16th best qb in the league since he has been here seems above average to me he has taken the team to the championship game and I honestly feel had he not got hurt he woulda found a way to beat gb that year. the bears have won more than they have lost with him behind center even with 5-6 oc changes tons of personel changes and all the other shit we always banty back and forth about.

add in the shitshow trestman put on the field last year and its miraculous cutlers won more than he has lost as a bear but he has. im not saying cutler is awesome or nothing like that but im givin credit where credit is due

I would have preferred a healthy Jay beat the Packers in the final reg season game. The D did everything they could to keep the Bears in that game

I feel he is closer to 16th best than 13th best but there is a significant drop off from the very good qb's to the average/mediocre QB's so looking at where you would rank Cutler doesn't really make him average. just puts him in the middle of the pack statistically if that makes sense.

I'm not saying cutler has had it easy here since he has arrived, but after 6 years and then having a GM cater to the needs of the offense the excuses start to run thin. He has shown flashes of great play, but that is the problem...they only come in flashes. That may be enough for some on here to continue to hold on to hope, but for me enough is enough. He may be here for another year and I will root for him and the Bears on gameday...but you better believe he will continue to get criticized by fans for throwing dumb picks and playing at a mediocre level.

Cutler didn't "take" the Bears to the NFCC any more than Grossman "took" them to the Superbowl. It was about defense.

It's laughable to think he would have turned it around and beaten GB. It's completely against the grain of his career in big games, especially against GB.

The Bears won more than they lost with Grossman and Orton too. Again, it was about defense. The defense was good in 2010-2012 when Cutler's record was good. When it wasn't so good (2009, 2013, 2014), he lost. Aside from having a better arm, when it comes down to the crunch he's another bum like the previous QBs. He just gets paid a lot more.

Mike Tice is the OL coach in Oakland, Kromer is the OL coach in Buffalo, Martz is retired, and Turner is HC for FIU.

So two are still coaching in the NFL, one is retired, and the other went back to coaching in the college ranks

well, he wasn't a coordinator on the Bears. I believe that was the intent of the post. Bear coordinator. but hey, Pep is today, but didn't make him one then.

I really don't see the relevance if he was/is coordinator of the Bears. Pep has done quite well for himself. And everyone outside of the retired Martz has founds jobs elsewhere

It's relevant because that was what the poster asked for.

Edit: and Pep Hamilton was no coordinator then. end of story.

But he was the QB coach who worked directly with him who many placed a lot of blame on (this happened on the CBMB, don't know about on here) for Cutler's failures that year. So he wen from scapegoat to OC to one of the better offenses in the NFL

yes he was the QB coach, not a coordinator. The poster posted: "Can you care to name me what any of the coordinators Jay has played under". Not coaches. Trestman is OC now, but wasn't a coordinator for the Bears.

I'm happy for Pep Hamilton. good for him, but he wasn't a bears coordinator and that was the question. You answered it correctly in your other post.

Well that's kinda dumb dontcha think?
no because the question wasn't: Can you care to name me what any of the QB coaches Jay has played under!

It wasn't a correct answer to the question. God man just admit you made an error and move on. Now you're trying to bullshit your way to say you answered the question correctly. You didn't.

I knew what he was asking...I thought it was stupid, not sure why you're defending it. Those that worked directly with Jay weren't just the OC's.

Other's have gone on to bigger and better things.

Jay's mediocre because that's what he is.

you were trying to be cute and failed. It's fine that others have moved on, but again, it wasn't his question. you sure are one stuck up mf!

Thanks.

So, none were offered a coordinator position after being fired from the Bears, correct?
