Even if Hester ran the right route, Hayward was pretty much right there and the double clutch means Cutler had enough time to clearly see him. It was a dumb pass where Cutler tried to do too much. It was first down. throw the ball away.

Exactly, unless Hester is an X-man now and can phase thru solid objects like Kitty Pride, there was no conceivable way for Hester to end up front of Hayward.

I understand that. Most of the time when things happen in football it is because more than one person fucked up. That is what most people don't understand for some reason. It is typical with this team because of the sandlot offense we have been running.

This defense sucks and has sucked. Their whole basis and scheme is predicated on the offense making mistakes/drops. Without those mistakes this defense fails. Thats why they suck. you cannot just play conservative "oh lets hope the offense makes those darn mistakes"
