I do not know what you do with Kyle Fuller.

Disappointing.

I'm not usually the type to give up on a player but Fuller is not playing good ball at all. As soon as a wr gets passed him it's over.

I typically don't call for position changes much either but maybe, just maybe he could play Safety. He isn't that bad when the ball is in front of him so it might be worth a shot. I'll call Virginia and tell her.

I think that Shea being out hurt the Bears.

I do not think he would have magically made them shut down the Lions, he just is not that good.

I think it hurt not having Shea yesterday. I was on board with tossing him into the dumpster before this year. Now I think they have found a way to get something out of him. No where near 1st round production but enough to warrant keeping him around for the time being.

Unfortunately for him, his past is going to haunt him forever.

My favorite teams
  1. New York Mets
  1. Detroit Pistons
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. North Carolina Tar Heels
yep thats the one.

tied game, play offs, and you have peyton in his prime under center, 30 seconds on the clock and 2 time outs and you take a knee. lol

and I may be wrong but Im pretty sure on the series before that instead of attempting to get a first and run out the clock Fox had the O run it 3 times and punt it back to the ravens allowing them to tie the game. sounds familiar.

36 years old is FAR from being Manning in his prime. This was only 3 years ago.

Move him to strong safety or trade him to a team that will give up something decent in return.

I honestly liked him as a safety with great tackling abilities, good instincts and able to cover when needed.

Obviously those last two I've lost a lot of faith in him but I liked him at S coming out and still like him at S especially now that he's struggling at CB. His Georgia Tech tape is really interesting and shows his versatility.

It's not just Fuller that isn't playing the ball, it's all the corners...and it's been that way the entire season. I have to think Fangio is trying to play it safe with them, and is not allowing any route jumping or too many high-risk plays on the ball.

Fuller got destroyed yesterday they were in cover 2 on the 57 yard completion to Megatron. I get that he handed off the coverage to the safety but I've never seen it done the way Fuller did it. I'm not saying it's wrong but he left our new FS (harold something-quar...) on an island with one of the best receivers to ever play the game. All of this with the game on the line. And he stops running.. that part I don't get.. the linebacker had Tate.

There were 3 really bad tosses by Cutler.

-The pick
-The Royal slant in the end zone
-The Forte over throw

All in all I thought it was a strong game for him, especially considering Bennett was clearly a saboteur.

Have to agree with this assessment.

Fuller sucks....your best bet if you keep him on the roster is moving him to S. Preferably, SS, IMO. That said, I wouldn't bench Rolle just because Fuller is a flop. I'd shop him of course, but with the way he's playing, the best we could do would maybe be a 4th or 5th rounder on a team willing to risk a late round pick on some upside. So for this season is concerned, I would like to see him at nickel, blitzing more, with Porter and Ball starting outside. Also, depending how long Rolle is out, I would give him some looks at SS with Jones-Quartey in the rotation. That would also open up more snaps for Mitchell who I think deserves some chances in this rebuilding year.

-Martellus Bennett has been brutal, not bad, but brutal for the last 2 games. The drops, the not getting the 1st down, the blocking effort issues. For a guy who missed times, who wanted a new contract and a trade he has not really impressed.

Funny story: PFF

Funnier story: PFF rated Bennett at +3.2 against DeToilet. As a point of reference if a QB demolishes another team with 5 TDs and 0 picks they rate -0.8.

1. On Lions TE Tim Wright's TD catch: #Bears CB Kyle Fuller never turns around to ball -- a recurring problem. Doesn't see ball until catch.

2. I'm not a professional lip reader, but #Bears coach John Fox on camera after CB Kyle Fuller beat for TD: "Come on Kyle! Make a play!"

3. The #Lions LBs made good plays on the ball, but I'm thinking #Bears TE Martellus Bennett thinks he should've had 2 TDs in the first half.

5. Jay Cutler's jumpball to Alshon Jeffery that was picked is a play that will improve once they actually practice more together. #injuries

6. Jay Cutler missed some throws, but let's be honest: he's having a good season so far. Making big plays. Same happened in Detroit.

8. I'm not keeping tally, but I feel like the #Bears missed a lot of tackles in Detroit. Matthew Stafford's 3rd-down scramble stands out.

9. I think the #Bears defense missed LB Shea McClellin. And their pass rush needs to be more than OLB Pernell McPhee.

11. One final observation: I thought center Hroniss Grasu played well and same with LT Charles Leno Jr. Something to build on.

1. If players, coaches, media & fans are confused on rules, the problem is the rules. Tate TD should be a future example of what a TD is not

2. However, Tate should have had a 22-yard TD that was nullified by an OPI on Meg that never should have been called.

3. By not using timeouts, Fox was betting Lions O would beat itself, as it has all season. Not a crazy strategy—Belichick won the SB with it

5. In hindsight, obviously it would have been better to take timeouts and conserve the time.

6. Credit to Matthew Stafford for bouncing back after being benched. Gritty performance.

7. Thought Bears should have respected Calvin Johnson more in their coverages. Don’t want a rookie safety on him with the game on the line.

8. Questionable roughing call against Pernell McPhee, but he simply cannot put himself in that position with the game on the line.

9. The Bears need another pass rusher to step up. Looks like this will be a big offseason need.

11. Past 2 games, 22 passes thrown to Martellus Bennett—no TDs, only 4 catches had enough yds for 1st downs; 12 inc. Need much more from him

12. Not much has been said about it, but Cutler’s pick in end zone was a killer. Robbie makes a chip shot FG there & Bears probably win.

13. When Lance Moore kills you, it says something about your depth at CB.

14. Christian Jones looks like he is getting more comfortable at inside linebacker. Not perfect, but seeing progress.

15. If I’m John Fox, I might have a hard time sitting down Charles Leno when Wally Pip, I mean Jermon Bushrod, comes back.

#Lions #Bears Film: Moore 20-yd TD beat McManis w/ hesitation move. “2 man”, S Amos tilted drastically towards sideline, left middle open.

Film: #Lions by gameplan clearly tried to stay committed to run game.

#Lions #Bears Film: Johnson 43 yds was post vs. Cover 3. Stafford good tight window throw, FS Jones-Quartey iffy angle, missed tackle.

#Lions Film: Wright 8-yd TD was out of structure late in down after #Bears took away RB swing. Stafford incredible throw under duress.

Bears Film: LB Anderson too reactive, no downhill attack to his game. Looks like a backup out there (which he is).

#Lions #Bears Film: Johnson 39 yds was plus-split Go route vs. CB Porter, who had fine coverage but did not locate the ball.

Film: #Lions a lot of 6 OL sets. OT Lucas played 30 snaps. Function of Pettigrew being out.

Film: Deep crossers were big part of #Lions gameplan.

Film: #Bears as game progressed played mostly coverage-based concepts. #Lions extra bodies in protection and pass rushers weren’t winning.

Film: as game progressed, #Bears did a good job taking away #Lions deep-crossers with underneath defenders.

#Lions Film: Anderson INT more on Stafford than Riddick. He took a chance under duress on a checkdown – on 3rd-14 that's not worth risk.

Film: #Bears D played hard and with discipline, they just didn’t have a lot of talent on the field.

#Lions Film: Tate 13 yds on out-route at sticks on 3rd-13 was big-time far hash anticipation throw by Stafford.

Film: #Lions did not change up their passing game enough to counter #Bears interior help coverage concepts. Needed more to perimeter.

Film: #Bears secondary played well. #Lions had some big plays out of structure or that were just good individual efforts.

Film: #Lions pass pro manhandled #Bears pass rush. Mostly four-man concepts, but also on blitzes.

#Lions #Bears Film: Riddick 34 yds was another checkdown, LB Anderson missed tackle (ref in way a bit), McManis really bad missed tackle.

#Lions Film: Stafford some outstanding tight window throws vs. man coverage (from matchup zone), his WR’s rewarded his bravado.

#Bears Film: LB Reynolds played well at times. Better angles+tempo in run pursuit than LB Anderson.

Honestly, Shea wasn't missed at all IMO. Perception wise while watching the game I honestly forgot he was hurt and not even playing until sometime in the 2nd half when they started talking about how Reynolds was an UDFA from the Jaguars originally.

I though shae was missed for his leadership more than his play fwiw

This is interesting perspective on a lot of plays.

I know people harp on the Lions being winless, but I came out of that game thinking their O had more than a few stretches of excellent play.

The Lions were better than 0-5.

RJ Bell, the Vegas Insider on ESPN 1000, said Vegas had never thought the Lions were that bad and their schedule was brutal.
