Looks like another banner will be raised in the United Center.

Lets hope it's not the only one.

Meh.

Real season starts on my bday.

Like biscuit said, 16 wins in the real season is all that matters.

All hail Dale.

What I don't get....is how some people (not as much/bad here) piss and moan that it's a curse...or it doesn't mean anything

Yet those same people would be bitching and moaning if the Hawks were in 5th-8th place...battling for a playoff spot.

So the Hawks are damned if they have the best record in the NHL (one of the best seasons ever)....or damned if they were battling for a playoff spot.

this is the way I look at it:

Do I want home ice advantage in the Conference Quarter Finals? YES

Do I want home ice advantage in the Conference Semi Finals? YES

Do I want home ice advantage in the Conference Finals? YES

Do I want home ice advantage in the Stanley Cup Finals? YES

Therefore, f*ck the "curse." I want them to always win the President's Cup.

Columbus needs some help, but I think it's very doable.

Detroit has the tougher game at Dallas, while Columbus is at home against the struggling Preds who've packed it in this year (3 points in last 10 games).

Ryan Stanton (D) was called up and practicing with team this morning.

No other Rockford players are with team today.

Also, LeBlanc not practicing with any of the lines today.

1. 19

2. 26

3. 65

4. 16

I'm guessing he'll play Saturday. I can see Q resting top players on Saturday as the Blues may be more physical than they usually are. Then again, if Hawks play top players and beat the Blues, there's a chance it'll be STL/VAN in the 1st round. Might as well get rid of 1 of 2 hot goalies.

1) win or shootout/OT loss in their last game

or

2) CBJ loss

or

3) MIN reg loss in their last 2 games

DET out:

1) Lose in regulation and CBJ win and MIN gets at least a point

I think that's it

Wanted to thank you all for allowing me to create the Magic Numbers thread and for giving it over 10,000 views in this shortened season. I know, at first, it may have been difficult to understand, but it looks like everybody got used to it. Thanks again!

I echo this comment, I looked at this topic every day and referred others to it. Great job!

Now our magic number is 16! Maybe it is a good omen that we are on page 16 of this thread?? Hope so!
