I put some time in raft, it was okay for a while. finally hit a boredom wall once i became too efficient.. but i still pushed through to that geodome city.. cant even remember the name of the place.. after figuring that place out i havent been back to the game..
Any of these survival crafting games, IMO you should play them in finite stretches between other games.
I kinda enjoy setting myself like 1 or 2 hrs of Raft time, and whatever I accomplish is all I get to do and then move on to other stuff.
When you play it too long, the repetitive survival loops become easy/boring and you wonder why you're playing lol.
One flaw I find in many modern games is they design a game to have fun tasks (building, running, shooting, gathering, etc) but they don't build in mechanisms for which to spur the player on.
Raft needs those mechanisms that make the player go "Omg I need to build/collect/level-up or I'll never survive, never."
Instead its like "Idk if I feel like expanding my house boat I suppose I will." lol
