What does your draft board look like after FA?

I think the Jeanty to Bears talk is what's really just media driven. Poles has always played it close to the vest and secretive, suddenly this year everyone immediately said the Bears were rumored to be in on Jeanty.

I doubt that completely. I hope the hype continues just so the Bears have a chance to trade back with the Broncos and pick up an extra 2nd
I think some of it could stem from Cunningham saying RBs in the first round have value. (forgot his exact quote)

At this point I think they run out

Jones-Thuney-Dalman-Jackson-Wright
Caleb-DJM-2ND-Odunze-WR3-Kmet

I think they go LT/DE/IOL with #10 if they don't go Jeanty at #10.
Then go more DL/IOL with the 2nd rounders. If they don't take Jeanty, maybe a RB here to pair with Swift.
3rd is probably BPA—could be a TE here as it's a deep class.
WR3 maybe be somebody like TPatrick/TScott.

The nice thing is we have the flexibility. Jeanty at #10 or Kaleb/Hampton in 2nd/3rd or none at all.
We could go Warren at #10 or Loveland later or another high RAS TE even later still.

Here is one example. This addresses a lot of needs and depth. I debated between Sava and a RB (Bhayshun Tuten, he went 122).

Or something like this

The mocks now have Jeanty/Membou going BEFORE we pick.
Interesting, but no WR in either mock. Who's the 3rd wr?

Oh for sure Warren is the best TE in this class. I wouldn't take him at #10 though. If Ben DID that, I'd be fine with it, but I honestly think Kmet can be very good, he's never been used right.
I’ve been completely against considering Warren at 10. I will say, he blocks as well as any TE I’ve seen that has had that prolific a season catching the ball. Plus, he’s just a monster running the Wildcat. He throws the ball pretty damn well too. Johnson would have fun with him.

That whole Penn State team played with an edge. That shitty QB cost them when it mattered most.

Nope, I do not. I honestly haven't paid attention to Warren and don't have a strong opinion on him. I loved Bowers though and felt he was one of the most special TEs I ever did watch. It would be hard for any prospect to top that for me personally (again, I haven't watched much of anything of Warren).

This kid is someone that teams will have to game plan for. 2WR/2TE packages will be nightmares and the Bears will be unstoppable in the red zone.

No way a backup DE is a better choice.

I did watch this one and some other highlights on youtube. I also read a bunch of stuff on him from basically every draft resource I can find. I like what I see from him, but I just don't want to make it sound like I've personally really done any in-depth looking at Warren. My opinion of him is really more or less an echo of others' opinions. I like that he's generally very highly rated by draft gurus like Jeremiah and Brugler. I think both have him top 6 on their boards. The highlights look great too.

I'm taking a back seat on this draft and just going to be happy with whoever we end up with, especially with all the starter holes plugged. I don't have a guy I totally love at 10.

I’m still drafting a DE or OT X Man. If it’s Warren, I’ll definitely support him. I mentioned that earlier.

It's a weak WR class IMO. I think they pick up a FA like Tim Patrick or Josh Reynolds.—both know Ben and his OFF. Maybe they keep Scott as WR4. IDK if Allen comes back.

It makes sense to provide good WRs to your franchise QB, especially while he's on his rookie contract. Brining Allen back would be fine, but the idea of relying on Patrick, Reynolds, or Scott is depressing. Plus, Allen is a short term solution and there likely will be injuries so quality depth is important. So invest in a a promising WR in the draft!

Napo, sure, but this WR class is pretty weak. If it makes sense to get a Kupp or Cooper or whoever as a solid possession WR I'm down for that. We have a pretty young crew so it does make sense to get a younger WR, but honestly between Swift, Kmet, DJM, and Odunze I think that's the bulk of the targets. The WR3 and TE2 are less important. I'd honestly rather draft an elite young rookie TE than take a WR. But TEs are notorious for taking 2-3 years to adapt to the NFL so...IDK? If Ben takes Warren I'll be fine. If he takes Jeanty I'll be fine. If he takes LT/DT/DE/G I'll be fine.

I would take Banks Jr. over Campbell every day of the week.
I've been a Banks guy since before the draft process started. If you like him a lot, this is a pretty good video to watch. I'm not super sure why he feels underhyped. He seems to check a ton of boxes, even measurements... but still seemingly isn't being given much credit.

It feels like WRs are more and more obtainable unless you want the absolute best guys like Chase or whoever... I get less and less enamored by taking WRs high as the years go. Though, I guess one could say the same with edges as there are a number of names floated out there.

I wasn't as high on Verse, so it's not a moment where I'll take a victory lap, but I would prefer having Verse today and be in the market for a WR. At the time though, this upcoming draft was known to have a number of good edge prospects, and I'm sure it was a factor in the decision. The other factor was likely making sure they bolstered the offense for Caleb.
WRs seem plentiful at times, but this draft doesn't offer as much as many others did. And "obtainable" means trading for DK Metcalf and paying $30 million a year compared to 5 years of low cost rookie contract.

I'm not saying one way was automatically better than another. I just think calling out the GM for not drafting Verse was ignoring where we would be at WR had that happened.
