I'm with HHM, Burts Place is fantastic.

The one thing I didn't like about the place though was you can't get yourself a slice of pizza, even though it's like 3 feet away. It's like an unspoken rule you have to wait for the waitress. My dad just said **** that and went and grabbed himself some slices: everuone was looking at him in shock but no one said anything.

Only complaint I have about Burts is that.

The first slice or any slice?

Cuz its pretty common at deep dish places that the waitress just has to serve everyone their first piece and then after that its a free-for-all.

But if this Burt's place requires you to sit and wait for them to serve every slice I could see that being annoying.

Even at a Giordanos I will start serving my own first piece if dey walk away on me.... dey get mud lol. **** you doe.... I'm paying for dis pizza.... don't forget da napkins and walk off for 5 mins....

You guys must just be talking about Chicago style pizza, which of course is different. Pizza originated in New York, and the best places are still in New York and New Jersey. Or course there are so many places some of them just suck. It should be named something else, because what you have out there is not pizza, not saying it isn't good, it's just different than actual pizza.

You must mean AMERICAN pizza originated in NY....Pizza was brought here by Italian immigrants, and was enjoyed in Europe for a long ass time prior to that

yeah, 111th and broadway, you have no choice but to fold the slices or use a fork

Yes, and I refuse to use a fork. I think I will see if they will deliver to 55th and 6th and if they do order a few pies into the office this week.

I would never use a fork either. Anyway you should see if they deliver. They were good.

Chicago Pizza and Over Grinders on N Clark has individual sized pizza's cooked upside down in a bowl with the crust on top ..They bring it to your table, turn it right side up, and it comes out on your plate..Tastes pretty good, and a novel idea
